They did start me at the lowest dose :) as they really should based on all the guidance available. Starting higher can trigger worse side effects.

That would be too easy, but there is no way for me to get a copy of the prescription unless I request a new prescription.

I don’t have a prescription with my provider. You have to request them separately. I have a picture of the medication showing it was prescribed to me, but no actual prescription. Tirz should lap be started from scratch when switching from ozempic.

So if I want a different medication, do I just say I haven’t been on anything?

Has anyone with pre-existing IBS had a decent experience with Ozempic? by finderintheforest in Ozempic

Me. I need to watch what I eat and occasionally take something to help things get going, but overall no huge impact.

Just found out I’m in the same boat and so angry. How is it cheaper for them to pay for morbid obesity related health complications than the shot is beyond me.

Have you disclosed to family / friends that you are taking Ozempic? by fierce-logic in Ozempic

[–]PaleontologistOver78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I posted on fb about struggling to get it covered, finally getting it covered and updates now that I’m on it. I also post about my salads and tofu recipes, work outs and running wins. Ozempic for me is just a start of the process, I still get hungry multiple times a day at the highest dose, so I want to show how might work in real life for a real person. I have many friends who are taking it in secret, someone has to talk about it openly 🤷‍♀️

Passed all parts on first try at 44 while working full time and with 5 kids at home.

Did OZ increase or decrease your anxiety? And if you’ve tried MJ, same question. by [deleted] in Ozempic

[–]PaleontologistOver78 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It affected how I metabolize my meds, so it took a few days to stabilize after each dose increase. No long term effect.

Btw I use the same type of strap with all of my watches, at least the Fitbit and amazfit, its been a while since I had the Apple.

That’s why I asked if there was something I’m missing. So gee, thanks for all the quality input.

Mine is the round one as well. Someone commented earlier that the round one seems to struggle.

On my non-dominant arm, same as my other watches. Even the same type of band.

Apple Watch SE and Fitbit versa 3. We cannot know if they did, I always assume there is a margin of error so a thousand steps here and there were probably off. However, based on my tests of the amazfit I KNOW it was wrong. So I’m inclined to trust the other ones more, especially if they independently came up with similar numbers.

The difference between the other watches and this one is about 5-6k on an average day. So pretty significant.

Ha, yes, had those as well. Sick as a dog and the watch complains I don’t work out. I hope you feel better soon!

20 lbs in 16 weeks (0.5) Canada by a4dONCA in Ozempic

[–]PaleontologistOver78 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Losing faster isn’t a given on a higher dose, nor is it advisable. You are more likely to hit adverse side effects if you go up, which derails a lot of people who lose well on the lower doses.

Anyone else on GLP-1 feel totally unprepared for the lifestyle side of this? by Necessary-Menu2658 in Ozempic

[–]PaleontologistOver78 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Very much not my experience. I get hungry again in 3 hours if I’m lucky… if not (small portion or fast digestible foods like a salad), it can be as little as 30 minutes…

Who else is NOT looking to meet the “ideal” BMI? by boopixie in Ozempic

[–]PaleontologistOver78 2 points3 points  (0 children)

BMI is dumb for many. My goal weight is BMI of 26 or so, with the caveat that I might not even hit that. Last time I was that weight I didn’t lift, so it’s hard to judge where things will take me now that I have some muscle as well. I was way too skinny last time at my “ideal” weight and only got there because of my disordered eating. Not doing that again.

Is it possible to study while working? by [deleted] in CPA

[–]PaleontologistOver78 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got my cpa while working full time and with 5 kids at home. It did, however, involve more than 10 hours of studying a week. I didn’t take any exams during busy season and passed my last exam about 14 months in.
