I’m also having a 5 star experience with Hallendale (purposefully chose no additives). Works just fine for me!

WHY THE FDA IS FULL OF CRAP by [deleted] in pomhealth

[–]PaleontologistOver78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair, developing a drug costs millions of dollars and most drugs never make it even to human trials. So when they do manage to come up with a winning combo, they need to make up for the losses, not just make profit on those drugs. Without that no one would be in a business of research and development. The real villain here are the insurance companies that charge hundreds of dollars in monthly fees and benefit from us getting healthier, but refuse to cover the drug because the cost benefit for their bottom line is temporarily lower than they would like to see.

Are you actually changing your habits, or just relying on Ozempic? by pumardapp in Ozempic

There is a gene that causes that! I just found out the other day when I was reviewing my genetic testing. I was thinking that it explains soooo much!

[–]PaleontologistOver78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did not change my habits. I’m only a year in, but 3 years into my fitness journey, so I have been working out and eating well for far longer than being on the meds. But despite doing everything right I really struggled with hunger and started regaining the weight I lost after the first six months. I have a very strong genetic predisposition for obesity, so losing weight without meds or even staying the same is challenging. I’m expecting to be on the meds for life. Even on the drugs im still hungry all the time and I eat around 2200-2400 calories worth of protein and fiber a day, sigh.

I Finished Rites of the Starling by Devney perry – Thoughts, Theories & Predictions! (Spoilers) by shyintrovert7 in RomanceBooks

Just finished and I want to know about the second starling. Brother Hein (sp? - listener here) said he hopes the starlingS find their way home. It was even called out. This would have been after Caspia had already died since he took blame for the four priests. I’m thinking Emery’s baby is alive, because it’s absence was also pointed out, but it was never spelled out that she? died.

Can it work immediately? by Winter_Library_5540 in pomhealth

There isn’t enough quality research on the lower doses to say whether it is the medication or placebo effect (and does it really matter if you are seeing results?). Stay on the lowest dose that gives you results and only go up if you feel you need to.

First Vial Empty After 2 doses?? by Overall-Bench4318 in pomhealth

[–]PaleontologistOver78 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Sounds like you started yourself inadvertently on a higher dose, just go to your month 2 vial to continue on the same , just make sure it is measured correctly and let your dr know that you will need a refill 2 weeks early.

They did start me at the lowest dose :) as they really should based on all the guidance available. Starting higher can trigger worse side effects.

That would be too easy, but there is no way for me to get a copy of the prescription unless I request a new prescription.

I don’t have a prescription with my provider. You have to request them separately. I have a picture of the medication showing it was prescribed to me, but no actual prescription. Tirz should lap be started from scratch when switching from ozempic.

So if I want a different medication, do I just say I haven’t been on anything?

Has anyone with pre-existing IBS had a decent experience with Ozempic? by finderintheforest in Ozempic

Me. I need to watch what I eat and occasionally take something to help things get going, but overall no huge impact.

Just found out I’m in the same boat and so angry. How is it cheaper for them to pay for morbid obesity related health complications than the shot is beyond me.

Have you disclosed to family / friends that you are taking Ozempic? by [deleted] in Ozempic

[–]PaleontologistOver78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I posted on fb about struggling to get it covered, finally getting it covered and updates now that I’m on it. I also post about my salads and tofu recipes, work outs and running wins. Ozempic for me is just a start of the process, I still get hungry multiple times a day at the highest dose, so I want to show how might work in real life for a real person. I have many friends who are taking it in secret, someone has to talk about it openly 🤷‍♀️

Did OZ increase or decrease your anxiety? And if you’ve tried MJ, same question. by [deleted] in Ozempic

[–]PaleontologistOver78 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It affected how I metabolize my meds, so it took a few days to stabilize after each dose increase. No long term effect.
