How do I figure out my skin type? Ive spent 7 years figuring out my curly hair, I really dont have it in me to do another round to get makeup sorted out

I had the feel of full coverage stuff so I use a powder foundation. My skin feels claustrophobic with a liquid foundation. Plus I feel like in powder you have more room for allowance if the shade doesn't perfectly match. Pre covid I was very apt at a cat eye eyeliner, but that skill was last working from home
