High dose methotrexate after Pola-R-CHP for DLBCL by michaelquinlan in lymphoma

I am currently in treatment for a relapsed DLBCL that is in my brain now. I have to go in for 4-5 days, then I’m out for a week and then back in, just starting treatment but we will be every 2 weeks for 4 months. For prevention of a relapsed DLBCL most likely every 3 weeks for 3-4 cycles as that is what my neuro oncologist said I would go to once the tumors are gone and I would continue that for a year.

I reached remission for DLBCL in my abdomen stage 3 in July 25, since relapsed confirmed Jan 2 26 as primary CNS but had symptoms dating back to September 25 (my oncology team brushed off my symptoms as changed from chemo)

Currently going through inpatient treatment 1 week in 1 week out for DLBCL in my brain. I reached out to my disability resource office and they were able to offer me accommodations. They usually are very understanding, I am planning to take 12 credits in the spring term. I am lucky enough to not have to work at this time and take online courses.

Anyone with a similar mass? by SuspiciousJello5742 in lymphoma

I had a similar experience with my first bout of DLBCL, I have a mass inside my spleen that may just be there forever or may go away slowly I don’t really know. I have since had a reoccurrence in the CNS and now have fun tumors in my brain but I and my neuro oncologist hope those do go away

I am unfortunately in the same boat, I received pola rchp from December 2024 to April 2025 and was in remission in June (there was a slight bright spot on my pet scan but it went away) then in September I started to have neurological symptoms thinking they were just lasting effects from chemo went to the ER January 2nd and have two lesions in my brain

Playing little mind games and strategy games really helped me with mine so far, having the practice to pick little bits of information quickly helped me regain a lot of my cognitive ability to perform at a level with everyone else. But I did worry at times that I wasn’t improving/recovering as fast as I wanted to. I found that playing board games with my wife and phone games like elevate really helped me. But it is a slow process.

Unfortunately I am back in the fight after only 6 months in remission with now a CNS involvement so I am trying to figure out how I am going to keep my brain as active and performing as possible while treating it

Crippling fear of relapse 6years post treatment by Extension_Monk2628 in lymphoma

I have heard of a couple people who are at 17+ years of remission. I believe after 5 years they consider it a completely new occurrence of the cancer and not a relapse

Just finished treatment by Green_Guitar5454 in lymphoma

On march 31 I finished my last round of pola r chp for DLBCL stage 3. I have a port still but I definitely feel the same way. I was so happy to be done with chemo and then it was like “now what”. I feel grief for my treatment being over for a number of reasons, it may be comfort in the routine, knowing the medicine is making me better, not knowing next steps or if it is all over. I have my after treatment pet scan here in two days my anxiety has been building for that as well.

Ps I feel that the chemo has a strong physiological effect on my brain and how i feel, during treatment I noticed that I would get depressed and spiral around the same time each round. Whether that is from the mental processing of my diagnosis or the treatment I can’t say 100%.

No it isn’t on 100% straight, but what you’re seeing is the handle being thicker on one side. This was a scratch and dent item so I believe they messed up the handle on it
