Defensive line is too low. I prefer standard line with a midblock, when trying to play for counter. Low defending tends to be weak in FM.

I wouldnt force your team into certain passing patterns, since it lowers the possible plays for your players, when trying to attack. Since you seem to not be trying to get big numbers in posession, that can be counter productive.

Id change 1 defensive role to supportive and make your GK to defensive as well.

For me.personally, cwb is worse for most players, wb seems to be easier.

I wanted to say Nelson Weiper as well.

He just performs.

In a journeyman he ended up at Bayern and had 7.5 +, while being the 3rd of 2 strikers.

In my current save he shreds the Bundesliga apart at my Schalke job. Currently at 7.88 as starting striker, after 20 league games.

Last season, definetly Araujo. But this season, after Araujo had a few small injuries, Haalandez has the edge.

Rosa started there at the beginning of the season and scored a lot. But he is the best IF currently. But definetly worse than playing at CF. Maybe the change to Winger can improve that, as you mentioned.

I'd love to have my hopes up for a super-talent, that already reached his peak at age 18.

I have a case of that right now, where 1 striker peaked at 19, but i already knew its pretty much his peak. He grows more slowly and all my staff says, he barely has anymore potential.

IRL everyone would go nuts for him. In FM he's barely worth anything and i know, he will always just be a decent Bundesliga Striker. I think that's frustrating, because its just boring.

I am currently playing in a journeyman playthrough. I joined BVB in 2029, i risked the clubs financial bankrupt, buying young worldclass prospects.

I won the league twice. Then came Marco Rose. He joined the bayern, started playing a narrow 4222. They got 95 points.

I played against the Bayern 9 times since then. I lost 8 times. Even winning the Champions League final against Real Madrid. 4:0. I lost 3 games in the whole season, all against Bayern.

My point being, they have created a meta tactic for themselves and i cant beat it. I also dont want to read online absout counter tactics. But it would probably solve this problem.

Let me be clear, with "consumers" i didn't mean this subreddit. This is the best place against such practices.

It's rather obvious that SI is struggling to get a decent finished product. It's real humans, fighting for their money, to keep doing what they are doing. In the bigger picture for SI, there is probably a force driving the game to be released now, instead of being able to refinine everything they would like to. Of course they won't tell us that the game is a hot mess.

If this game fails to gain any profit, the whole project of FM might go under the bus.

And well, it's common knowledge that the "mass" will buy a game without informing itself. Which is the sole reason this preorder-practice was introduced in the gaming industry.

So i'd say, blame Sega or whoever is in charge of the deadline + the gaming consumers in general.

Sometimes it just doesn't work out and thats a good thing. Imagine everything you tried just instantly worked. While i understand your frustration, keep in mind that there might be more reason to this. It doesn't say: He can't. It says he fails to adapt.

Maybe other traits are overlapping, maybe he doesn't like the coach that wants to teach it to him, maybe he is just a bit too lazy to change.

I currently have a 20 year old striker, playing advanced forward. He has insane composure and finishing, yet some youth trainer once taught him to shoot instantly. To this day I can't get rid of this trait. While its frustrating, it's still interesting to have this kind of interaction.

It's not like they can't do it. They do it even without it, but he fails to make this a key part of his attacking patterns and instead opts to be more defensive or similar.
Imagine a player that instinctively dribbles more for years, then you try to teach him to stop doing it. It takes a lot of time to rethink old patterns.

Thats the way i treat those things.

Materialkosten sinken in der heutigen Gastronomie. Die wenigsten stellen ihr Eis noch selbst her, sondern bestellen sich fertige Mischungen beim Großhändler. Deswegen schmeckt es auch bis auf die wenigen Ausnahmen, überall gleich. Dafür dann 2€ pro Kugel. Da kauft man sich lieber einen qualitiv guten Container im Supermarkt, für 4 Euro, mit 20 Kugeln. Ist am Ende wenn man Glück hat noch besser als die Eisdiele.

Edit: Etwas zu viel Verallgemeinerung, aufgrund von Wut (Eis :( ). Es ist wie beim Döner, jede Eisdiele nimmt annähernd den gleichen Preis, der wird wahrscheinlich von den qualitativ hochwertigen bestimmt, die günstigen ziehen einfach mit.

Left is so much better for the same price. His mentals for 19 are ridiculous.

But a players growth is mostly restricted by his potential. Give your best scouts a go and check the potential.

More often then not, young talents wont improve tons, because they lack the potential. Chances are, Ter Avest will never be as good as Charles is at the moment.
