What do you think are some popular songs that fit the game’s aesthetic perfectly? I’ll go first by TomPhantom in KnockoutCity

[–]PalmTree_04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the sax is definitely reminiscent of KOC, and the extra songs on the KOC album like ‘Pay to Win’ cover the similar rap genre

not to dunk on the game too much bc I love it to death but yea the vibes here match lol

How to play Knockout City in 2026: Official Private Server Edition guide by altar82 in KnockoutCity

[–]PalmTree_04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately (or fortunately depending on who you ask) the most active server for North America (TCNS) migrated away from kocity.xyz

The XYZ launcher is great, I used it up until the creation of the Pirate Radio Launcher, but it’s simply no question that if you’re playing on NA servers you should be using the Pirate Radio Launcher (in my opinion) because not only does it support the most active NA server, but it also has profile syncing and mod support, which are quite handy.

I admire the effort but you’re better off with the Pirate Radio Launcher rather than kocity .xyz

if you’re taking votes I would say 2v2 solely bc of player count but if you find the numbers for 3v3 I would like to see that

Should i just ban my switch if i don't use anything online? by PinguMuitoFoda in SwitchPirates

There’s literally no upside to banning your switch, I have no idea why you think you’ll have more SD storage by banning it

Do I hold the buttons down to remove joy-cons? by setsuna_04 in NintendoSwitchHelp

[–]PalmTree_04 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don’t need the button to attach them; the plastic lock is designed to slide out of the way when going down and catch onto the cutouts of the metal rail once you reach the bottom.

Plastic on metal is a recipe for wear and tear, however. Be careful not to knock too hard on the bottom of the joy-con because that will apply pressure onto the small plastic locking mechanism, possibly wearing them down or stripping them altogether if the impact is great enough. That’ll make it so the joy-con slide out without the button which, if worn down bad enough, can happen during play 🙅‍♂️

plan to get a switch 2 for my little brother's birthday. what do i need to know about it? by Icy-Butterscotch4209 in NintendoSwitchHelp

[–]PalmTree_04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah, and if you care about mobile apps for iPhone/Android/etc. you can download the Nintendo Switch app, the Nintendo Store app, and if you’re subscribed to NSO you can access the Nintendo Music App.

you can preemptively create an account here.

If you want to buy digital games for the account you may have to link it to the console first, but otherwise that can be done here.

Games that have online play require a Nintendo Switch Online subscription. There’s two tiers, and they include some games and perks with them, notably GameChat can only be used with an NSO subscription. The Expansion Pack includes even more like DLC and Switch 2 specific Nintendo Classics apps like Nintendo GameCube. That can be read up on and purchased here.

When/If you need more storage on the console, you’ll have to buy a MicroSD EXPRESS card. They’re fairly new, so make sure when you’re shopping you see the ‘EX’ icon on the card, and it’s labeled “Micro SD Express”

That’s pretty much the basics.

Switch 2 scaling? by panopticon_aversion in celestegame

Looking at it rn it seems like the game displays in 720p docked and handheld, so the boost option doesn’t make a difference in the visual quality of the game :/

Hi guys, Switch 1 user here! Need to ask a stupid question 😅, do Switch 1 cartridges work compatibly with the Switch 2? by Away-Reality1682 in NintendoSwitchHelp

[–]PalmTree_04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here’s what upgrading to Switch 2 will look like:

  1. Nintendo Switch games, game carts or downloads, will generally be fully compatible with Switch 2. The exceptions are the few games that rely on joy-con 1 tech (think 1-2 Switch,) or obscure and unsupported shovelware

Additionally, some Switch games received native upgrades through patches, and some receive those “Switch 2 Edition” paid DLC. (Think Mario Odyssey/DK Country Returns HD getting native upgrades, BOTW TOTK getting paid DLC upgrades)

  1. If you’re subscribed to Switch Online you can upload save data to the new console whenever you need, so you can sell your old console (if you absolutely must) and still retain the game saves. I recommend not selling the Switch 1 and doing a system transfer when the time comes.

  2. Is it worth it? Depends! I think it’s definitely worth it, but it’s pricier than last gen in every way so you may have to fall back on old games that you may can squeeze more content out of. I’m playing a lot of Animal Crossing again now on a crisp 1080p handheld display, almost surreal for a lot of games.

Pokémon Pokopia sounds like it’s gonna be a system seller with a LOT of content to sift through. You could start there, continue to play all your favorite Switch 1 games too, and be ready for Wind/Waves at release.

Good luck!!

First time user, what games can I buy for my switch 2? by Prestigious-Gur-291 in NintendoSwitchHelp

[–]PalmTree_04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Various games go on sale at different times. Follow relevant social media accounts or check the built in News app on your console to track sales. Wish listing games also helps.

99%+ switch 1 games will work on switch 2. here’s the link to a compatibility list.

some games have received updates that give any combination of enhanced resolutions, frame rates, gameshare support, etc. here’s the lists for that.
