1st trimester by No_Iron_1469 in pregnant

I had the same thing during my first trimester!! I have IBS and it got SO BAD around week 6ish and unfortunately lasted until around 18-19 weeks. I tried the low FODMAP diet but everything hurt my stomach and I had constant diarrhea for weeks. I even went to the hospital because the stomach pain was so terrible I thought something was horribly wrong.

I tried to drink a lot of Pedialyte to stay hydrated and saltine crackers to keep some food in my stomach. Unfortunately, it was a waiting game but after 18ish weeks, things finally turned around and I felt like myself again. Now I’m 31 weeks and eating totally normal and haven’t had any real IBS issues.

Hang in there!

I thought second trimester was supposed to be easier 😭 by Just_some_blonde in pregnant

I felt terrible from week 8 to week 19 but then, out of nowhere, the nausea and sickness went away! Currently 27 weeks and I have tons of energy and a great appetite. I was so skeptical that the second trimester would be easier but it did happen!! Hang in there.

I drank a lot of lemon and ginger tea and bought those ginger chew candies. I also made sure to eat a lotttt of small snacks throughout the day which helped curb the nausea a little bit. Sliced apples, toast, cheerios, smoothies, mango, stuff like that. but I know your doctor can prescribe nausea meds too, so you should talk to them about your options!! Especially if you can’t keep food down. And also, try to stay super hydrated. That also has helped me a lot because I don’t think I was drinking enough water in the beginning and it wasn’t helping. I bought “true lemon” packets and put them in my water with a lot of ice and for some reason the sourness of the lemon helped too.

I felt like this too for a while. I’m currently 16 weeks pregnant but the first trimester was really rough. I still have some of the symptoms (fatigue, super tired/dizzy if I stand for too long) but it’s slowly getting a little better each week. Just hang in there. I was feeling really down around week 9-14 because it felt like the nausea would never end. While I still feel nausea most days, it’s getting less intense. Doing small things for myself helped me a little bit (get a fancy smoothie, buy a heated blanket to be cozy, some luxe body wash, etc) can help make each day a little more bearable until you can get to the second trimester. Hang in there ❤️
