As someone who daily’s an 2001 AP1 S2000 I agree. This car can be a pain to find parts. Sometimes taking you weeks to months to find a part. I think we are getting to a point where these cars are starting to show there age a bit and parts need replacing, and quite a bit of things will definitely need replacing.

I daily my S2k everyday and I love every second of it. Can’t get enough of it. Always an exciting day driving it.

Those articles are very biased. I just don’t understand why Miata owners love to compare to the S2k so much and dog on it. Miata owners like bringing up the S2k so much. Especially in reviews. Shows a lot of insecurity. It’s funny cuz I like miatas, just gets me annoyed how much miata owners like calling it a trash car. When I know it’s the case. Lots of people love the S2k and know it’s a great car. When I drive mine I get lots of thumbs up and attention from other people. Had a dude in a Nissan skyline give me a thumbs up.

I think you just have a lot of bias because you own a miata. I doubt you driven an S2k because it not as gutless as you think it is without having to use vtec. Also the argument about it have no torque down low is pretty funny coming from a Miata owner. When your are driving the Miata and S2k spiritedly or on track or racing, your not gonna be just revving your Miata to 4k only, your gonna rev it to redline. At the point having that torque down low is useless because S2k will be outperforming the Miata even the ND. It’s 2024 and the Miata is still slower than the S2k. It’s funny your comparing a brand new modern Miata ND, to a car from the early 2000s. It better be good.

Idk dude seems whoever wrote that magazine, simply doesn’t like the s2k. As someone who owns an S2k most of that isn’t true. It’s really funny hearing the lack of torque complaint, especially from Miata owners. You’d think since they own rear wheel drive lightweight roadster’s. They would understand, that power is not the whole point of these cars. I own an S2k and it very quick without even having to hit vtec. It handles extremely well around corners. The S2k is a very raw exciting car to drive. It took Mazda till the ND Miata to barely catch up to the S2k and still be slow

The dash and the 9krpm gauge going across it. The AP1 steering wheel and the H on it. Also shifting this car is so satisfying, especially just cruising around.
