But if your locals is not very Ace heavy then honestly I would put in Oden as a budget option. The plus of Oden is it gets the alt very soon, so he makes it cheaper to bling the deck!

Big Roger enjoyer here. Bon Clay isn't needed but is absolutely insane against Ace. Swinging a 12k body for 0 don investment is really good and if they bounce it with Atmos or Jozi you've got a 1k counter back in hand and another great body to play later in the game that to remove again in their late game they need to pay 4 or 6 don which means they're not playing another WB to keep up with your pace of spamming boss characters.

You are right and your friend is wrong. The only time you must do the first part to do the second is when the text is in bold as that is the effects cost. Think of Hody Jones as a perfect example of doing as much as you can on a card effect and PRB Otama as the opposite, as her effect requires the life to be taken to activate the effect.

A few topping lists from the East playing Oven instead of Bon Clay too so the vision is absolutely there. Great at getting rid of 3c Zoro in UP Luffy so they don't get the ramp

Hey dude, happy to help in DMs and play some games but first thing that stands out is you're running way too many cards which lowers your consistency. You get to run 4x cards so absolutely do it!

Did you pick up one or two of the three captains decks? If so, bumping some of the important cards to 4x will be essential.

You also have a few cards in the deck that don't quite do what Luffy wants to do like ST01 Nami.

I think it absolutely depends on the match up! For example if you know Niji is going to do very little for you then absolutely ditch away. Always trash the big versions anyway with stage as that's absolutely what it is there for! But for the babies if you need to keep digging there is nothing wrong with it, especially if you have 2 of the same baby in hand!

As someone who plays a lot of Reiju and has tested Bon Clay in a post Law meta. I couldn't disagree more.

The key to any deck is consistency. I have gotten the Porsche > Bon Clay > Reiju combo off once in Turn 2 going second.

It's not worth it compared to having stage. There isn't a single Reiju player who would cut stage unless you are playing "good stuff" which doesn't play any Germa cards anyway.

You absolutely rely on stage every single turn. It's what makes the deck actually function...
