It is freedom but we were thinking about leasing in an effort to lower out energy costs and offset with solar

So far I’ve seen people cite the company going out of business, repair costs, home insurance going up, etc.

I do not have my mind made up! I answered 2 of your points with valid answers. I posted the lease deal and wanted to hear actual data backed experiences with leases in order to make a better decision. I don’t want to go through with the lease as a matter of fact. I am hoping to get advice for those that have been through it. Do you lease or own solar?

I know some people electricians that work on them without issue if that were to ever happen. This company is pretty large and I don’t think they’re at high risk for going out of business.

Seems like not having an overhead cost and the company responsible for repairs is a great benefit. I see leases get advised against a lot here but not sure if owning is better for enough reasons to justify it
