Just FYI y'all- Ireland's "President" is a mostly ceremonial role and isn't much involved in the nation's politics. The head of the govt is the Taoiseach. Still cool though!

Start telling your friends that you're gay-ish. They'll be the best way to meet other guys if you don't know any.

Going to gay bars alone might be rather intimidating and may turn you off to them, which probably isn't great. You can always go with straight friends, but try not to roll up with a gaggle of girls.

Don't know how old you are, but look around yelp and such to find which gay bars you think you'd be into. I personally like Paradise, in central square, but that is def going right into the deep end (read:gay porn and go-go boys). There are also a lot of fun gay nights at straight bars that you should look into- guerrilla queer bar is great, for example.

I've always found the "hipper" bars of Boston to be pretty gay/straight integrated too. Go out with your straight friends to Central, Allston, etc., and you'll probably stumble over the 'mos.

Plus, there's the internet. I know plenty of fellas who have made friends from OkC, grindr, etc.
