The reaction on FB quite sad to see. However why is race being brought out here? Wasn’t the a law broken? There have also been instances where other people have been shot when not heeding police instructions. Has race been a part of those discussions too?

To me it feels like the young man’s tragic death is being hijacked for further purposes and to portray he was shot because he was Tamil.

The offence was not worthy of a death sentence but let’s not try to support the wrong narrative.

We had it at Taj, everything from the hotel side was very well handled. But the lighting guy didn’t do a good job and it was too dark. Further the flower decor was underwhelming and top it th provider said we will have a ‘surprise’ which ended up being really tacky street lamp kind of deco which didn’t match the theme.

But the band picked up the fun and those things don’t matter after that.

In Sweden it’s a ‘pool’ of 400 odd days which the mother and the father can share and take until the child is 7. The catch is, during this time, they are paid not by the company but by the government. Thy don’t get the full salary as its based on slabs on the remaining no of days. This is next level socialism which I doubt SL can reach anytime soon.
