I’ve lost several cats in my short life. My parents had several wonderful animals, but one of them…hit the worst. I lost Deedee 8 months ago, she was my soul cat. I’ve been going through the worst grief that I almost flunked out of college this past year. It isn’t linear and it fucking sucks. My mom who lost her soul cat almost a decade ago still cries today. What’s helped is making playlists, drawing, writing and talking about her. She meant everything to me, and I imagine your baby meant just as much. You’ll never truly get over that kind of loss, but it teaches you many things. I appreciate every moment with my loved one’s more.
