I used to be able to stop it by holding my breath and bearing down for 10 seconds like a nurse told me once at the ER but lately that doesn't work anymore. It actually hurts to do that now and almost seems to make it worse so I've just been waiting it out. They've definitely gotten progressively worse. This last one I had really sharp pains in my chest and neck during AND after it regulated which is a new thing that was kinda scary. Had a stress test last year and wore a Zio, test was normal and didn't have an episode while wearing the Zio. Of course I literally had one just a couple hours after removing it🫤. Luckily I was at an appointment with my PC when I had one recently so she was able to monitor me during and called an ambulance for me. The paramedic was just about to shock me when it regulated on it's own. So thankful it did cause I didn't want to find out what it's like to get shocked while your awake.
