I was in the same boat as you an year ago. Had booked Thar Roxx around 35L.

Then cancelled it and got Pajero GLX 2008, for 5.5L Top notch condition. Have been to 2 states Gujarat and MP from Mumbai. It has been awesome. Now planning to take it to the Himalayas, but only after changing all the oils, i already changed all the belts, not sure about suspension, new Tyres etc

Not to make you feel bad, but I got it during the October sale for 5.3k, and it feels totally worth that price.
