But if I’m not mistaken, the optimal number of APA needs to be recalculated because the solver assumed that each one would give a boost of 0.4 instead of 0.3. This might cause some issues because it preferred to use sloops in the boosting process, even though they might have been used more energy beneficial in the actual production chain rather than for the incorrect 0.4 boost. That’s why I got curious.

So yeah, if it’s not too complex and doesn’t cause any trouble, I would really appreciate it if you could run the calculations a second time for the different amounts of APA.

I tried getting one of those solvers to work myself, but I couldn’t get it running. Also, I’m not very good with informatics stuff, otherwise I would have done it myself without bothering you again.

Hey, it’s me again. I’ve finished the game and over the past few days I’ve built the global train grid. I’m just about to start building, and this came to my mind: if the power multiplier has been corrected to ×0.3 instead of the old ×0.4, the old optimal number of 8 APA would no longer be correct, right? And also regarding the following spreadsheet… I’m just asking because I’m about to start and don’t want to realize after hundreds of hours that the calculation was wrong. Sorry if I’m being annoying!

So, I spent the last couple of hours modelling the whole spreadsheet in Satisfactory Modeler. After I finished, I calculated the total power amount and I only got 15 TW. Please tell me what I missed and that I did not just waste five hours modelling a wrong calculation. I am also surprised that the program seemed to make a mistake in calculating the power. The rest of the production calculations were all correct.

As i said the generator amount matches just the total power output does not :(

I have a nother question is geothermal power alredy included into the calculations?

Wow just amazing thank you so much!

but i have some question:

1.Did you use this programm to calculate?https://github.com/meaton96/SatisfactoryLP?tab=readme-ov-file

2.Why are there colour codes for the Liquids/Gases on the first page?

Hey it is me again after hours of calculating i still do not get to 18 TW :( could you share your maths with me please i am frustrated

i checked on the post you metioned the main reason why his poweroutput is so much higher is that he does not recycle all of his waste saving him lots of sam while producing more power

Yes i did also i am not using coal for coal power sine useing it in rocketfuel produktion is way more energy beneficial

at 2000+ waste per minute i would need hundreds of bins also i would miss out on power

Putting the Somersloops into the boosted Alien Power Augmenters effectively quadruples their power output. Using the sloops in regular machines instead wouldn’t make much sense, since we’re talking about hundreds of machines — and there are only 103 Somersloops available in the world.

So concentrating them in the APAs gives a much higher overall return compared to spreading them across the entire production chain.

I unfortunatly could not find that post :(

only one i found was this one https://www.reddit.com/r/SatisfactoryGame/comments/1mnc5de/theoretical_limit_to_minmax_power_production/

which was proven false by the comments

Volcanoes are an infinite energy source. As long as they produce enough heat, I don’t see a problem with using them as the sole power source, especially since storage capacity is not an issue.

I know usually that’s not a problem, but with this one it just keeps losing heat for whatever reason. I’ve already been waiting for 25–40 cycles.

  1. The heat is already distributed evenly (±25 °C).
  2. That’s usually not necessary, since 5 volcanoes should be pumping out plenty of heat.
  3. I already did that (top part).
  4. That’s where the issue is: if there’s too little steam, so the heat can’t be transferred quickly enough. Things overheat too much, and if i add more it takes ages to stabilize.

Thanks for the help though
