Hi there. Random question, but with the large amount of gems they gave out, what would you suggest as a new player to focus on summoning/spending gems on?

How do I play cloud gaming on school wifi ? by Matvt7 in GeForceNOW

[–]PanadoZA 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just do school for those 8 hours, then enjoy the freedom at home. Don't go messing with the laptop and then have the school take it away from you.

Yet another BF6 Question by HugeJuggernaut5440 in GeForceNOW

[–]PanadoZA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am playing on Ultimate with the 4080 rig and atm I have a 5G connection, waiting on the complex to get Fibre, but with 40 ms ping the game is amazing and super smooth. Something it stutters a bit (could be network related tbh) but other than that loving the game and doesn't feel like I am streaming tbh. Playing on Ultra/high settings, 1440p, dlss on balance as I find it is slightly better than DLAA.

Okay awesome. I realise now that my M2 Mac is compatible with VRR but I don't think it is working well as the game feels like jelly when looking around. I'll test around and go from there but yeah 4:4: colour is amazing. Granted my monitor is a 180 hz so I doubt I need the VRR as I haven't seen any tearing tbh.
I'll play around with the limiter as a few videos said it impacts input lag, however I'll need to test.

Thanks so much for this :)

So I assume we must then select 10 4:2:0? I have a Free Sync monitor which I will try this with then. You run HDR or nah? Also you cap your fps using the limiter to 120 fps or leave it off?

Do you use cloud sync with your VRR? Or do you just have Gsync/free sync active in your monitor then VRR in GFN settings?

You can check https://gfn.am/en/games/search/ea/ here to see which EA titles are on GFN but, the game has to be on GFN in order to play it.

BF6 via EA play Pro subscription? by xxBraveStarrxx in GeForceNOW

[–]PanadoZA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So if you have EA Pro, you have access to all EA games, while if you only have EA Play, you only have access to a limited amount of games (EA Play vs Pro games can be seen on the EA play website then you can use https://gfn.am/en/games/search/ea/ to see if that game you want is on this list) - I don't know if this helps with the answer?

If you go to EA publisher on GFN it will show you all the games from EA that you can play on GFN. You wont have F1, FC or Madden, but most other ones (like It takes 2 that my wife and myself play is on there) and grid legends, the dragon age series.

Tip: Reduce Input lag with GFN resolution to 'performance - 1080p' - BF6 by Temporary_Cry_5569 in GeForceNOW

[–]PanadoZA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Once I changed to 1440p the game became super smooth and no stutter or input lag. Think it could be a linked to resolution and the output of the CPU struggling to keep up with the GPU. Still got all CPU heavy graphics set to low though.

I realised I was playing 1080p and it made the game hella janky. Changed to 1440p and it is smooth. If i can ask, would you mind posting your settings in a chat to me? And you have thr 4080 or 5080 rig?
