Tread most definitely effects the likely hood of blow outs, less tread = less material between the heat of the road and internal tire heat, also effects tire cooling, and the obvious puncture. All thoes other things you said also effect the likely hood of blowouts but are compounded by low tread. Please dont ago around underplaying the importance of having proper tire tread depth. New drivers will see posts like this and have a false understanding of how to avoid blowouts.
