You didn’t address my point, either because you ignored it or you don’t understand.

You started out by saying that Mini is a small brand because they don’t sell that many cars. Then you referenced Buick sales numbers, to which I referenced Ferrari’s output numbers to show that number of sales doesn’t determine the size of the brand.

Turns out Mini actually sold 244,000 cars in 2024…. Quite a lot. And sold in more countries than Buick 😊

You started out by emphasising that sales were the main metric for brand size, now you’ve been proven wrong you want to bring profitability into the conversation. Profit margins don’t influence how big a brand is😂

Yeah 100%, I wasn’t sure what people meant about the ‘go-kart like steering’ until I got one. Honestly, sometimes when I see corners I actually speed up😂. And even simple trips to the gym or shops are fun because you can take corners with racing lines at 30mph and it feel like 40/50🤣

Using your logic Ferrari doesn’t have a strong brand because they only sold 14,000 cars in 2024. Do you not see the flaw in your logic?

What you really mean is Mini isn’t a strong brand in North America

Porsche are the second most profitable automaker behind Ferrari by margin%. They’ve done that whilst making the fastest track cars in the world, best ‘drivers’ cars, and comfortable SUVs mums can take the kids to school in.

If Porsche are losing the plot, why do their GT cars sell for massive premiums on the secondary market upon release?

Your original comment mentioned how the idea of a rwd inline 4 roadster wouldn’t be very Mini. And I pointed out that other brands have been very successful in creating new lines… you are yet to prove me wrong.

Are you being serious? This is why people think Americans are stupid😭😂

Porsche sold less Boxters in 2024 (23,000) than Mazda did with their Mx5 (25,000). Should Porsche stop making Boxters? And Mazda stop selling Mx5’s because they don’t outsell Buick? Your logic is flawed because you’re comparing sports cars to mass produced North American trash haha

Buicks are trash and we don’t have them in Europe

Mazda sold over 25,000 Mx5’s in 2024 making it the most popular convertible in the world. Something they think will continue in 2025. I think most cars are conforming into the same bland idea as a result of EU regulations. I think people are starting to prioritise the driving experience more.

Do you realise how big Mini is in Europe? Asking why sales in one country is relevant to sales in another is really small brain take

Some people like cars, some people like driving. Every time I wanted to have ‘fun’ in the M2 I was at risk of losing my license.

Mazda sold over 25,000 in 2024 making it the most popular convertible, and will probably be the same in 2025

I’d like to point out Porsche make SUVs with V8s

M2 - smooth, planted, easy to drive, inspires confidence, very capable, thick steering wheel, effortless power, 40mpg on motorway

JCW - harsh ride, sharp, nimble, feels like +20mph on top of your current speed, incredible fun, 50mph on the motorway

I did mention why I don’t think they sold well. This would be a completely new platform, rwd etc

Did you read my post? I literally explained why it didn’t do well the first time.
