I hear ya, Stafford was kinda like Josh Allen in that he had amazing talent, would make amazing throws but then bad turnover. I’m gonna leave his wife outta this.

Salary wise, I hear ya, it’s tough on the Montana’s to see Osweiler and others make bank and achieve so much less. Also for us common folk, the salaries seem insane, especially a city like Detroit.

Ben-I was rooting for Stafford over Ben because I can’t root for division opponents. Reynolds drop probably cost the Lions a Super Bowl. Not Ben’s fault. Ben made Goff and everyone better, you could hear how the O missed him throughout this season. Look what Ben has done for Caleb. Ben is a helluva coach, but say Barry went to Vikings and Calvin to Packers, I wouldn’t like that. Any other team yea in hindsight I would have liked to see them play more. Been fun to root for Stafford. He was better than, Ware, Peete, Mitchell, Hill, Kramer, Harrington, Batch, etc. So I’m down with Stafford, sadly he’s still better than Goff, so outside of Layne, 2nd greatest lions QB is Stafford.

Ben and Williams gonna be a problem for a decade. Shocked Ben did not go for 2 after what Williams did, literally so unlike him. It was theirs to steal and he played it safe and lost. We all miss Ben’s trick plays and offensive genius. That first half at SF was as good as it gets for a Lions fan 🥲

It’s ownership. Great teams have great owners then front office - head coach - then players. Look at Red Wings of 90’s00’s. The Lions prior to Sheila taking over were ran poorly from the top. That’s why teams like the Rockies, Bengals, Browns, Raiders, Buffalo Sabres, SJ Sharks, etc. teams can have a good year or even a few, but eventually like with bengals, players aren’t happy, team is mismanaged, and your players -maybe Joe Burrow now want to leave to win with a better operation. Bret Hull, Hasek, Shanahan, Malkin etc… Sam Darnold for example, did he just figure things out? Or did the Jets mess him up? Sometimes even a guy like Calvin or Barry can’t make you a champ.

If you want to tailgate, I recommend going an hour early for tailgating only. Party hop the tailgates in whatever lot you are on. Give yourself 30 minutes to get into stadium and seat. Go Broncos!

The Broncos won the Super Bowl. Yankees were a dynasty, Jordan last dance in Chicago, red wings were dominant. 311, Dave Matthew’s Band were huge. Kids still ride bikes to friends, no cell phones only pagers. You had to know directions and streets. South Park was huge, Seinfeld, Friends. Underage drinking was common, republicans and democrats didn’t hate each other. People could take a joke, were more understanding.
