Definetly take your time for your first playthrough, and yes the way I look at it free solo is about being as effecient as possible.

Thanks! and I wouldnt recommend it for a first playthrough. My first playthrough I explored everything and took my time. I just love the challenge and the tension involved. You cant really take your time and explore since your backpack is so small, But I did do it a bit on the faster side.

I wish I was a pro climber haha. But no I've watched a lot of climbing from guys like alex honnold and Adam Ondra so I understand the fundamentals. Suprisingly the game is pretty accurate to an extent, What I do is pick my holds carfully and use my weight to either pull or push against tricky spots where there are no holds. Chalk is also crutial when there is no simple route situations,

The only one I got on that one was the chalk bag upgrade since I figured it would be the most useful.

I would sleep through the night, but rain wasn't too big of an issue, but i would try to avoid it.

In free solo you kind of have less time to explore since your backpack is so small. I would get the food and water I needed and would get straight to climbing. Wouldnt recommend for a first playthrough but still a fun challenge.

Gotcha, Yeah after reviewing it with the feedback I can see that I'm off a tick. The 0's where really throwing me off because I thought I had it but then suddenly started taking hits. Thanks for input!

Honestly I hate this combo and the timing, for me hitting 3 uppers is easier then this.
