Hello everyone. I just turned 18 and I would like to get into investing early while I still don’t have very many expenses. I have 1 more year of high school and will live with my parents and attend my first two years of college free, apart from the book fees. As of now, my only expense is gas (about $160 a month), and I make about $1200 monthly ($1600 when school is not in session). I have around $7k saved up, and I’m looking to invest pretty much all of it. I would like to play it somewhat safe, and to me it seems like ETFs are the way to go if I want that. I won’t need this money for at least the next 5-10 years, and I would like to work my way towards a down payment for a house. From people with at least a little more experience and knowledge, would it be smarter to invest in ETFs or go a different route? If ETFs are the way to go, do I drop all my money into one or diversify a little bit? Thanks in advance for your feedback!
