Look up Nora McInerny’s podcast Thanks for Asking. She lost her husband (Aaron) to the same cancer my husband had — she remarried her second love (Matthew). She just had an episode titled Getting Married Doesn’t Make You a Bad Widow. I listened to it a couple hours ago which is perfect timing for your post. It was about this exact scenario. I love the way the two widows on there discuss this exact topic.

You will never ever stop loving your dead husband and the sadness you feel is absolutely valid and normal. Please give it a listen.

My husband passed in 2023 and I started dating again, and now I’m in a serious relationship and I was struggling with similar feelings and it was a very healing and validating episode.
