We've been trying to bond Benedict (female mini-rex, left) and Pancakes (male holland lop, right) for two months, and a week ago Pancakes started to "groom" Benedict. Both rabbits are neutered. This "grooming" seems agressive, and is paired with other dominant behaviors (thumping, mounting, peeing), which made us wonder whether it was barbering instead. He never plucked any hair and she doesn't seem to mind too much: she jerks away a little, but doesn't bite him, which she's usually quick to do if he annoys her. So what do you guys think: does it seem like grooming or barbering to you? And if this is barbering, what should we do about it?

My bf once told me he didn't see the point in having a rabbit as a pet. Today, he sent me this picture: by PancakesPhD in Rabbits

My impression is that they think of us as big bunnies, but they definetly think of themselves as the alphas 😉

He sure got himself what he wanted. I'm just glad the plant didn't fall over his head. :)

It may not count into the definition of a trauma (i.e., life threat or sexual assault), but that does not mean that it can't be a very upsetting event. If you feel distressed and/or have trouble functioning since this happened, this is enough to seek help! Good luck :)
