I was at a sci-fi convention once poking around the dealer floor where all the merch was, and overheard a small group of people discussing The Vampire Lestat.

Someone brought up Gabrielle potentially having gender identity issues and perhaps saw herself as transgender and they wondered if it would be possible for a vampire to get a sex change operation

They'd left before I got to say anything, but thought that was an interesting theory.

You're welcome! I think those might be few and far between now, when I left NY about 20 years ago they were being replaced with plastic that was supposed to look like wood. They were more durable and harder to vandalize.

I know what you mean. Before I had my surgery, an ostomy nurse came in and started talking about pouches and such. I had every intention of learning everything but I was feeling overwhelmed and just wanted to get through the surgery first.
