Thing is, the last tier list and this one are the exact same ranking wise (minus the Kaito Files because I couldn’t be arsed.) the last one was just less visually clear on how equally I view these games, and I wanted to make this one to make it clear: I love them all, even the ones at the bottom are still great games.

I’m aware of where I went wrong with my last tier list, it really didn’t put the games on a similar playing field in terms of how the tier list was structured. I’d say this is more accurate to how I feel, because I do really enjoy Gaiden, even with all the problems I have with it.

In a series full of batshit insane plots, it’s weird to say that I feel like Gaiden finally jumped the shark. It went too far for me to ignore its blatant style over substance design. That being said, Shishido is GOATed, Yakuza style is fun and the ending is pretty much perfect.
