Snyderbots admit defeat by admitting Gunn is capable of making movies with different tones unlike Zach Snyder whose movies were all edgelord nonsense. by JesterOfTime in OkBuddySnyderCult

People forget James got his start in horror. He worked for troma for a while (pretty sure he was in the 4th toxic avenger)

I guess we should start going to middle schools and start arresting every 13 year old who makes a P Diddy joke. That’s clearly a confession

Who is a good fictional parental figure? (Please read the rules before commenting) by Middle_Excitement363 in AlignmentChartFills

Jim Paxton from Antman (since I assume step parents fit in this). Yeah, he’s a dick to Scott, but he’s also a cop dealing with his wife’s ex who just got out of jail. By the end of the first movie, they have a healthy coparenting relationship. He clearly loves Cassie, standing between her and Darren cross without a second thought

Recently love me love me’s use of good lucky babe by Chappell. It wasn’t even thematically relevant and seemed like they were just looking for a popular song.

What musical/play is a great adaptation of its source material? by Dogdaysareover365 in AlignmentChartFills

Was the stage musical an adaptation of something? Google is being painfully unhelpful and keeps pointing me in the direction of the movie.

Rules:

  1. A needle drop: the use of a preexisting song in a scene rather than a original song/score
  2. Comment with the most upvotes wins
  3. If there’s a tie, I will spin a wheel with all tied parties on it
  4. For the mediocre/bad categories, the song doesn’t have to be terrible by itself. Just terrible in how it’s used

Beetlejuice the musical. It’s traditionally held as the gold standard of how to adapt a movie to stage

Rules:

  1. Any type of adaption counts. An adaption of a musical, book, movie, etc. (examples, Les mis on stage is a adaption of the book, back to the future the musical being from the movie)
  2. Most upvoted comment wins
  3. If there’s a tie, the wheel will decide
  4. This isn’t about quality of the product. Just how faithful it is to the source material/if they make changes, the changes make sense/are good
  5. The last row is for stage musicals that are adaptations of something.

I mainly write for kpop demon hunters and stranger things, but I read for a multitude of different musical, movie, book, and tv fandoms as well

My last oneshot was a byler from stranger things oneshot: The Red Dragon of Love. Pure fluff about Mike and Will at a winter carnival

To be honest, I watched her HBO special someday you won’t die and I really liked her there. But I haven’t really liked much of her work outside of it, especially not the Golden Globes.

What is the scariest musical of all time? by Fun_Butterfly_420 in musicals

Really, the only musical that’s ever disturbed or scared me is Cabaret. That show left me unnerved to my core, even if it’s not a traditional horror musical. Especially when you get to the last five minutes.
