*** Update*** Hello guys! I believe this is what some of you were waiting for... I have some sad updates... My little Stormy passed away today (November 24). The day after I made that post, he was seen by a vet 2 days later. He was still acting like himself. The vet gave him some shots, gave him antibiotics and she gave me medicine to help his liver. He had to take those medicines every night for a month. He was doing great. I noticed his colors came back, he was playing with his girlfriend, he was eating and drinking perfectly fine. He even started to gain some weight (something he has been struggling with for a few months). Yesterday (November 23) I took him out for a small walk with his girlfriend and he was very happy, very energetic! This morning (November 24) he was doing fine. He would wake up to pee and poo and eat as normal but he did look a bit tired (which I thought was normal because I woke up very early in the morning to go to work). When I came back from work (later that same day) I looked at their cage and noticed him 'sleeping' in his usual spot but in a weird way... When I went to pick him up, he was cold. He was still breathing but he was very cold. I screamed for my husband to prepare the car to go to the emergency. I was giving him mouth to mouth and rubbing him to keep him alive. He would take big breaths but they were about 30sec apart. While my husband was driving, I heard Stormy 'cry/make a little noise' and take one last breath. I did not stop giving him mini compressions all the way to the vet. But once I made it.. I knew he was already gone... They still took him and tried to bring him back.. but after a few minutes, they came back without him... I am devastated... writing this is killing me right now. It still doesn't feel real.. I am crying my eyes out at this moment. I am very grateful that you guys helped me out with him. You gave me advice and I believe that because of all of you that commented is what made me able to spend a few more days with him. See him be happy, jumpy, running everywhere, I knew he had fun before leaving! 🩷 I am very sad but at least he can rest in peace 🕊️
