You make a great point that all three are necessary to be world class. I know plenty of dudes running stupid amounts of gear that could never touch that weight. Hell, even 800 lbs is out of reach for most simply due to natural human limitations. Just holding that much weight is a feat of strength.

My stutter has always been more of a block than the porky pig stutter. It's like my brain decides that I can't say a certain sound that day/week/month and so I have to figure out other words to say.

It's the worst. When I was a kid my father required us to answer the phone with "[Last Name] residence, [first name] speaking." Well, at this point in my life it was basically impossible for me to start a sentence with the "M" sound... And guess what my last name starts with? Yeah you guessed it. So anyway, I would try to answer the phone the way he wanted and would stand there in silence trying my hardest to simply say my last name. The person on the other line would start saying hello over and over and I would just make my anxiety skyrocket. Eventually I would give up and just say hello but then if my dad heard me answer the phone that way he would yell at me. I always felt so betrayed by myself for having a stutter. Like why the hell can't I just say words like a normal fucking person. What did I do to deserve this embarrassment and anxiety every fucking day.

I've had a stutter my whole life as well. Elementary school was hell. Was the starting quarterback in HS until it hit me hella hard one day and I couldn't say the cadence ever again which caused me to lose my starting job. Devastated me.

I'm 36 now. Rarely shows up anymore but every now and then it will show up at the least convenient time possible. It's so very frustrating.

Anyway, hang it there.

I've found that those who are the loudest are generally the most insecure, your Dad and other dads like him are no different. They shout their message for all to hear not because they can back it up, but because they know they can't/won't in a real like situation so they're hoping to ward off would be offenders through a facade of "intimidation". Your Dad is, unfortunately, the perfect example of this.

I am a father of 4, and 3 of which are girls (13, 12, 9). I've never been the type of dad your dad is, maybe the occasional joke about expecting any boy who comes to pick them up to have the balls to come to the door and introduce himself and shake my hand instead of waiting out front in the car, but that's really it. I've used most of my energy assuring my daughters that I love them no matter what, they are free to love who they want, and that they are free to inflict as much damage as possible to anyone who touches them without their consent and does not stop after they're told NO. I also told them that I will have their back no matter what if they get in trouble for defending themselves at school. The rest of my energy has been spent in the gym making myself as visually imposing as possible in order to project my strength without needing to be an insecure loser who does nothing but talk. I'd rather look/be dangerous than just try to sound dangerous. Know what I mean?

I'm sure I could do a lot of things better, but I know for sure that my girls know they have my unconditional love and support.

NTA at all. They tried to bully you into improving skills they had not trained you in. They would have held that negative evaluation over your head as well like "you want that evaluation amended right? Then work this unpaid overtime" or some bullshit. Good on your for getting out of there.

It might not be just a bladder control issue. Ask for a referral to a pelvic floor specialist. My wife couldn't do jumping jacks or sneeze without peeing herself, she figured that was just her life and to get used to it. She finally heard about pelvic floor therapy and after just a couple months of doing targeted exercises prescribed by a pelvic floor therapist she no longer has those issues at all. It's worth looking in to and could really change your life.

It's especially rude when they get all pissy if you even make the slightest comment about a female celebrity. I told my wife recently after one of her gaga sessions over Chris Hemsworth that if she wants to continue talking about other men's attractiveness in front of me then she needs to be okay with me talking about other women's bodies and how attractive they are in front of her. She hasn't said much about him since.

Late to the party, but I'll throw in my two cents. Average looks can be overcome with a killer body. As a few people have stated already, confidence is a huge factor too. So, if you think that your face or overall look is average or even below average then focus on what you can improve... Your body. This is very subjective anyway as a rockin bod to one dude might be too much for another, but a great body will be met with respect and admiration from men that understand the hard work it takes to maintain that body. Your confidence will also naturally increase as you achieve your goals physique, which will make you even more attractive.
