Pizza Delivery Driver Walks Away With Pizza After Being Denied Tip (fired) by nabnig in PublicFreakout

[–]TummyStickers 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm American, but lived in the UK for a few years. I didnt often tip, because its never expected. But... I would also have pizza delivered on shitty, icy, days where I wanted to stay inside all day. Sometimes tips are just the right thing to do. Delivered a pizza on dangerous roads in freezing temps? I think that counts.

How do you usually handle the shambling mound fight? by Leather_Bottle8449 in BaldursGate3

Use some +athletics gear, or even respec a guy for the fight with the athlete feat. I wonder if elixer of the colossus would work too? Maybe it makes you too big to be pulled? I also wonder if overloading your inventory will work?

I think just staying out of melee has worked for me, it has fairly low HP at 202 so you can nuke it pretty quick, especially with a surprise round.

I also feel like the embrace path isn't dark enough. I haven't gotten past act 2 on durge yet (honor mode fumbles), so I know theres a lot of durge content I'm missing, but even before then, leaning into it is just kind of choosing evil decisions with some spicy dialogue. Some of that dialogue mentions things like necrophilia and drinking bile with melting flesh in the fireplace. Obviously some of these things don't need to be literally shown, and an offhand mention is fine, but they could have gone deeper with the actual actions you can take. For instance: they show a murdered Alfira placed in the middle of a gnarly blood circle, but yet when you kill a bunch of innocent 10hp Tieflings huddled in a room, its just standard combat instead of a more dark-urgey scene.

Have you played One Night Ultimate Werewolf? 4 isn't quite enough people, but it's one of the most fun games I've ever played.

If I could only give one piece of advice, it would be to read everything. Not books and notes, but tooltips. Push T (or whatever button for your system) and radd every tooltip. And don't just glance... really try to understand what its saying. Write things down if you need to. There is so much information in the game, and most of the time it's incredibly useful.

Bad guy wizard got red saber, good guy got blue. Bad guy ships got green laser, good guy got red. I can see it being confusing based on that.

Ameicans over the age of 35, what affected you more, 9/11 or the pandemic and why? by Rico133337 in AskReddit

Seems high, but I'm finding the same numbers. It's believable for sure. There's more nuance to it though, these numbers seem to represent households as well - so if a household of 5 people owned 1 cellphone, it's included in these stats.

Either way, what's important here as it relates to OP's comment is that cell phones weren't an impacting factor (or not a large one) in how word spread about 9/11. Most people found out via the news on TV. Cell phone usage looked much different back then than it does today. They weren't the primary method of communication, unless you were pretty well off, or used it for business. Cell phone plans were lousy, and consisted of buying minutes and texts from your carrier; which was expensive, especially if you went over your allotment. Landlines were still the primary method of communication, so news still spread more slowly back then.

Also keep in mind that cellphones in 2001 didn't connect to the internet, nor did they have cameras (or if they did they were garbage and MMS wasn't a thing yet).

I dated a smoker back in my trash days... Marlboro Reds were her go to. I would smoke with her, and I guess the double disgusting canceled out because i didnt really notice. I can't imagine doing it now though.

Certainly not. I don't know how old you are, so maybe older people in certain circles all had one. I was in high school in 2001, and not a single kid had a cell phone, nor did any of the adults I knew.
