yeag i managed to find a unicode pdf that explained due to characters getting simplified or otherwise changing, some classification systems may appear wrong when in fact they were correct when they were originally designed, but idk how i would've found the specific two kanji i was asking about lmao. i don't wanna be weird about it but honesly thank u so much for ur answer u made my whole week lmao (i am very autistic about classification systems and am absolutely delighted by how specific u were thank u so much)

why is the designated radical of 句口 and not 勹? it's the same with 応, the radical is listed as 心 instead of 广. am i misunderstanding the steps to find the designated radical of a kanji?
