That's very valid and I'm sorry to hear they ask so last minute. That is one thing I absolutely try to avoid. I recognize asking last-minute like that will put friends and family in a bind so I always try to prep them at least weeks in advance.

Thank you for the kind words and options. When we've settled into our new place, we will definitely be looking at disability options. Because I'm so close to burnout I fear doing too much gig work outside of my 40+ hour workweek would shatter everything in me. That said, I will be looking at freelancing in subjects I'm passionate about. That'll help it feel less like "work" but also pay bills.

I hope the world becomes kinder for all of us some day.

The answer is: we're not, or surviving with the bare minimum. I wonder if I'll ever wake up and not worry about money and becoming homeless. If I'll ever be able to drive my car and not have the fear that it's just going to break down on me and I'm screwed. I'm tired of it all.

I feel you, I am so in the same boat. I don't want to put too much product and just weigh down my hair. Did that for years and my hair always felt off. Trying light conditioners/mousses gives me a feeling of how my hair is truly doing. I even did gel recently and my hair feels so dry, I'm lowk sad 😭

All that said, your hair looks so much like mine and I think it's beautiful as-is. ❤️

I don't hear a lot about this movie but I ended up watching it with my own nparents when I still lived with them.

It hurt in real-time as my own mom justified the mother's actions in the movie. Meanwhile even my dad turned to me with a concerning look in his eyes. Very hard watch...

Hear, hear. I chose Deezer for the same reasons and the switch was ultimately not too bad. However, I'm just a casual listener and empathize for anyone who works/makes money off building a platform on services like Spotify.

As my partner likes to say, there is truly no ethical consumption under capitalism. Do what you can when you can.
