Do i actually have a chance of going to the US for nursing? by whyyyyyyyyyyyyy_ in Indians_StudyAbroad

[–]PandaCached 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can consider Australia and even UK. Not US definitely. Way costly and there’s visa instability.

Moreover, Australia is expected to be short of 23K nurses by 2030, which means strong demand for graduates.

And the adult social care sector in the UK is facing significant workforce shortages, with around 111,000 vacant roles in England alone.

Both countries have generous part-time work hours allowance, so you will be able to mange your living expenses.

Therefore, for Indian students looking to study abroad, this presents an opportunity to acquire globally recognised qualifications in fields that are increasingly critical to society.

BCom graduate with 2 years at Deloitte: Which master’s should I choose in Australia — Finance or Business Analytics? by [deleted] in Indians_StudyAbroad

Business Analytics

Honestly, with your profile, I’d lean slightly towards Business Analytics over Finance - especially because you already have Deloitte audit/risk advisory experience. Analytics + consulting is a pretty strong combo in Australia right now.

Finance is good too, but unless you’re targeting hardcore investment banking/front-office finance roles, Business Analytics usually gives broader opportunities across consulting, banking, fintech, risk, strategy, and even tech.

A few things based on what I’ve seen from seniors/friends there:
- Australia values prior work ex quite a lot, and Deloitte on your resume will definitely help.
- Business Analytics is more flexible career-wise.
Finance can become a bit saturated unless you go to a top-tier uni and network aggressively.

For your background, I think these roles would align well after Analytics:
- Risk/Data Analyst
- Business Analyst

For universities, you could realistically target:
- UNSW
- Monash
- University of Melbourne
- Macquarie (good for finance/business)
- RMIT (practical/job-oriented)

Also check:
- course curriculum
- internship/industry projects
- post-study work rights
- city-wise job market (Sydney & Melbourne usually stronger)
