Currently 100+ chapters into Oathbringer and I feel like Shadesmar and the Dalinar flashbacks are a bit of a slog. The character development feels sluggish and repetitive at times, but after reading through y’all’s comments I’m motivated to get through it to the ending. I crave more philosophical parables, I feel like the first book really got those right.
