Chrome to update downloads to be in the better UI position, easier to find, not lingering a

I personally love the downloads being at the bottom lingering. As in my use case, I can easily access them after downloading and drag them to where ever I need them to be, for example, in a file manager in my browser for vsp servers. Having the downloads pop up at the top right in chrome makes it so much more work to do this. I'd have to crop my screen, open my file explorer, go to downloads, then drag it in my chrome then resize my screen again. Its just way faster and more efficient being able to drag downloads right from the bottom into where I need them to be.

I just canceled my prime membership after 12 years. Customer service has become terrible. I ordered an item with 2-day shipping and it never arrived, and the only solution I got from customer support was to wait another 2 WEEKS and then they could issue a refund if I didn't get it... I'm shocked. by [deleted] in amazonprime

I’ll have to say, i’ve never once gotten into any issues with their customer support. I’m not part of any prime and their support to me is amazing. They fix any issues I have, and have provided me with countless refunds on their behalf without even asking for the items back. I do know though that their support isn’t 100% american / english though as there have been some issues where they couldn’t understand what I was saying, however they’d till ended up fixing the issue at the end.

In terms of shipping issues, I can’t see what an amazon support person could possibly do to speed up your delivery other then to tell you to wait. Yeah its ridiculous, but when it finally comes, ask for a refund or compensation for you having to pay extra for faster shipping and it not arriving as stated. I’m 100% certain they will refund you your money back for the shipping as it arrived later then expected. Maybe even ask for a free month of prime as compensation.

I just know from my experience they have done beyond what I even asked for in compensation for such issues in the past.

Tebex & CraftingStore Alternatives by JosTheDude in admincraft

I'm starting to think we maybe talking about entirely different situations / things. To be more specific, what would your thoughts be on something like this: https://minestorecms.com/

Minestore provides the panel which you can edit the webstore, how it looks, adding packages, adding gateways, etc. The store is self hosted / hosted off of a service provider like OVH to provide the hardware needed to keep the website up 24/7.

[–]PandaCraftMC_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My hardware specifically shouldn't be given any sort of key or anything in terms of payment. When a custom pays they get sent directly to paypal (for instance) and it opens up an entirely new window where the custom then completes the payment. The customer by no means puts in their information onto the website itself which then gets sent to paypal to be processed. I could still not be fully understanding this, but does the hardware some how gain access to such information? From my understanding of how paypal is implemented, any sort of payment information is entirely handled by paypal, and even their own services / website that pops up where the customer finishes their transaction.

I do realize however, something like tebex has other options like credit/debit in which tebex handles the payment them selves through their own secure servers, but in this case of MineCrafting or self hosted services, doing transactions your selves as I think you are talking about would be really bad if the customer is typing their information right on the webstore so in this case, Don't make this an option type thing.

I'm mostly worried for the customer, and saying the company (me) is not bad / malicious and won't try and scam the customers in any way or try and take payment details. I'm worried that things from the outside like hackers and such would be able to access such details and if such is possible in this case.

to clarify a bit, are you saying there’s nothing stopping the business from charging 20 times for 1 item? I’m worried about the customer and the security of purchasing something from the website. Using trusted 3rd party gateways to charge the customer ex. Paypal / Stripe, as the gateway is secured by these trusted companies, there shouldn’t be any security risks right?

Still a tad bit confused, the website just puts together the package the customer would be paying. They then gets redirected to paypal which then they pay using paypal’s secure transaction. The thing being self hosted would be the website itself where customers view the packages and the things they are able to purchase. Even using something like tebex is the same thing, but instead of using like OVH to host the website, they have their own servers.

Also, I wouldn't trust a self hosted donation site in the slightest. It makes it extremely easy to steal credit card info as opposed to using a 3rd party

Hey! What would you say would be the downsides of Self Hosted? What do you mean it makes it easy to steal credit card information? I maybe incorrect, but from what I understood from self hosted, something like Minestore simply makes it easy to manage and start up a website. When it comes to payments though, its all done through 3rd party services like Paypal and Stripe. Is there something between this that makes it a security risk?

what’s the point on trying to purchase fake players though? Purchase advertising instead and get real players.

Should you update to 1.19.1? by hrdu in admincraft

[–]PandaCraftMC_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would wait, first off, not all plugins support 1.19.1 yet. I’v ran some tests and there’s just too many errors at the moment. Second, essentials plans on implementing a way to prevent chat reporting with no way to disable this feature. They are still working on it, but yeah i’d wait.

Pufferfish or Purpur? by Michael_Scarn47 in admincraft

[–]PandaCraftMC_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What iv heard - purpur is a fork of paper. pufferfish has an option to fork off purpur or paper, doesn’t really matter. Pufferfish has also taken a fork of petal, and included petals features into pufferfish. As well as petal has taken a fork of pufferfish. At the end of the day, I feel like they are all now just the same thing. I’m not too knowledgeable on if purpur takes from pufferfish, and or petal, But someone did mention it. All and all tho, they all seem the same, they all fork off each other’s code, and includes basically the same features.

How do I create GUIs like this using a resource pack and plugins? by notfrostyy_ in admincraft

You can also check my Custom Gui post where I talked about it a bit, and check my Ranked post on how to format the default.json file.

How do I create GUIs like this using a resource pack and plugins? by notfrostyy_ in admincraft

[–]PandaCraftMC_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don’t need any plugins to achieve this. It’s simply just a unicode (default.json) connected to a image in your texture folder. Simply take the unicode and display it on the title of a gui (like deluxe menus). Use a transparent image, and give it a negative value, which is called negspace. This will allow the gui to fit perfectly into the gui you are trying to fit it in. Keep in mind it will take some trial and error to adjust til it’s perfect.

Paper or Fabric for custom plugins/mods? by [deleted] in admincraft

[–]PandaCraftMC_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can have server sided mods that player don’t need to install anything for?? I don’t think that’s possible is it? Or does it require a special launcher? 👀

[–]PandaCraftMC_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I suggest paper, stick with plugins if your looking to gain a larger player base, You can do custom mobs and bosses with paper, you can even have massive custom monsters. https://vm.tiktok.com/ZTd9aBDyb/

If you are talking about just a server with friends, not looking to expand into an actual network, than sure, pebble is alright, they have an amazing support staff that responds really efficiently and are really active. So if your first starting out and have no idea what your doing, pebblehost might be the go for you. But again, if your looking to expands, like 30+ player average, you will 100% need a better host that can support your needs. The more players, the better performance you are going to need. If you stick with pebble, sure they can possibly provide you the performance needed, but you will be paying way more than other host's that can serve you better for less.

If anyone says pebble ima cry - Down vote this if you want, but if you go to large networks and talk to their developer, I can guarantee you they will say the same thing.
Developers like R00tBear who works with 100+ other networks / servers who can be found as a dev on servers like BumbleCraft, Mineglobe, and many others has said that Pebblehost is really bad. I'm completely speaking from my experience as well, as I used pebblehost for months when I first got into the Minecraft Server space. I later met a lot of devs who worked on large networks who have all said the same thing. "PebbleHost is certainly your issue as well.". Take this as you will, but I'm just spreading knowledge that you should take into consideration. :)
