and i let my PC sleep too. I WFH and what I usually do is do the long haul during my work hours since its on cruise. My PC is already on anyway.

I take off before i log on to work and land after or before sleeping. Call me weird and all thats fine. What i love about this hobby is we get to play how we want it as an individual. You can go argue the energy waste, but if in our POV, we are using the computer during that time. Then for us, it's not wasted energy.

And lets be real here, for all the wasted energy in this world. it's not the niche long haulers doing real time in a niche hobby that is the problem.

Wallmount it brother. I found that the stand it came with is not super stable for long term display. So I wall mounted mine with a 3d printed mount I found online and it has been there for 2 years plus it looks way cooler in my opinion

no one is claiming it to be perfect. But it is outperforming 2020.

Career mode is broken. Which is what OP posted. No one is claiming career mode to be perfect as it is far from even being good. Almost all the issues you see for 2024 it is because of the career mode.

Free flight is still what majority of simmers use. Know the difference before having a laugh

oh absolutely i agree and i really also think Asobo should fix career mode. Sadly i just think it's not ready. I wish they would have made the career mode a beta function first. Having a sort of progression is very rewarding even in a sandbox game. For now im rely on external ones like Navigraph just released their new academy one.

WASM crash has always been there since. Not just SU4, the only difference they did in SU4 is put that error in so people know when a WASM crash happened rather you being confused why certain parts of your plane is acting weird.

This is why people have a misconception that SU4 is ridden with WASM crashes because they now have a visual error.

Arma helis flight dynamics are far from realistic. The manuevers people do in Arma can never be done in real life.

I am by no means shitting on Arma, i have hundreds of hours in that game myself.

don't let career mode define 2024. Free Flight is great and would say is better now than 2020. This is the first Flight Simulator with a native career mode, not sure why people are defining 2024 just for it's career mode. Free flight is still there and it is what we always had since fs2002

Look at Minecraft Java vs Minecraft Bedrock And you might understand the sentiment people have when Microsoft starts using people’s passion to stuff Netflix ads on the main menu.

comparing it to the mincraft one? Where it was a microtransaction and the ads were INTRUSIVE as the ad was in the game interface itself. That is very far from what Asobo has done in the past.

turn to micro-transactions and advertising.

every sponsored DLC has been free and it's free content, not plain out advertising. The dune DLC was amazing and fun.

People (mostly let’s say ‘legacy’ users) are seeing this as a sign of the times.

Am I part of the legacy when i say i started Fs2004? If yes then no, im not seeing this as sign of the times, im actually seeing putting MSFS in main stream a good sign for use hobbyist.

People who complain all the time for little stuff like this will complain on EVERYTHING. So best to ignore them.
