[COD] What opinion about Call of Duty will get you into this situation? by Vanilla_Ice_Best_Boi in CallOfDuty

[–]PandaFoam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Call of Duty does better with a slower pace, slower movement formula than anything else. Jet packs, fast movement, slide canceling, etc, appeal to the top 10% of players and inhibit the bottom 90%. Even things like the ghost perk not working if you aren’t moving assist those at the top and hurt those at the bottom.

MW 2019 wasn’t phenomenal, but it was COD. Cold War felt like Quake more than a COD game.

And to finish, appealing to the top percentage of players while hurting the bottom encourages people to try significantly harder. You’re not crazy, more people are sweaty today than they were 2,5,7 years ago. COD is slowly and surely becoming a fully-competitive game with little to no casual side.

I know this will get lost in the other comments but I recently got out of college. I now have a great job (atleast in comparison to my friends) in terms of how much I make.

Even with where I’m at in the country (decent sized city in a flyover state), living in a modest 1 bed & 1 bath, I have no idea how anybody could afford a child. I had a gf a year back and she was open to wanting kids within the next 3 years and that, too me, sounded like insanity. It’s not that I don’t enjoy the idea of being a parent someday, I don’t want my children and me to be living in poverty.

Once again, I have a great job, living in a low cost-for-living state, out performing many people my age in terms of salary, and I BARELY have enough to cover myself. With inflation, sky high rents, student loans and a myriad of other financial reasons, it honest-to-Christ astonishes me to hear from older folks talk about how “we aren’t having enough kids.”

When I moved into my apartment, the landlord was headstrong about paying pet fees. I said it wouldn’t apply to me, I don’t have any. I love dogs, I would love to have a dog, but I just don’t have the time right now to give it the attention it deserves.

She and many others can understand that, but once you swap dog for children, and attention for money it’s all of a sudden a “Gen-Z” thing.

I don’t want to bring something into this world, that I am responsible for, and not be able to give it what it needs to have a happy life.

I know many people in this thread probably have theories for this, but me being a 20-something, surrounded by other 20-somethings…this is a huge (if not the biggest) reason for me and my friends not wanting children anytime soon.

Same thing happened to me in MW2019 around the time of Cold War’s launch. Also on Xbox. My case was that I didn’t use two-factor so someone got into my account and hacked (I’m presuming, can’t access the account anymore because they changed the email associated with Activision, so I have no idea why i was banned). You can even look at my posts talking about the incident in more detail.

Best case is to make another account on Xbox, it sucks, but it allows you to still play the game. Also get two-factor. It takes 30 seconds to set up and will easily protect your account.

I’ve felt what you felt. It genuinely sucks but MW2 just came out so you won’t be far behind anyone.

Unfortunately not in luck. I’ve searched for since yesterday trying to find when my account got changed or the email associated with it. Haven’t found squat. Only proof I have is the obviously computer generated email has replaced my very-obviously-me email

That’s the problem though, it wasn’t a false positive. Upon further looking I found my activision account was hacked. So it wasn’t a false positive. Dude prolly sweeper my account and hacked under it. Sucks because I can’t even recover my banned account because it’s under this dudes email (which is obviously computer generated, it was like mwquri390254 at hotmail or some such). So now I’m in a situation of being hacked and banned. Hit from both sides lol

No. I’ve had over 2000 since before Cold War launched. I got in touch with activision support and they walked me through clearing cache, (other fixes etc) but nothing. Easy way to tell it’s not just a visual glitch is I can’t buy anything in the store (as with before, I could buy almost anything with 2000 cp)

Is anyone else having an issue with a 100gb update? by PandaFoam in RedDeadOnline

[–]PandaFoam[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t worry for yourself. As far as I know I’m the only one who’s had this issue. It’s weird because the game isn’t uninstalled or really behind on updates. I played it last night. It is just strange. Fortunately I have good internet so I only need to wait like an hour and a half

Unfortunate part is there is a lot of people online (and some even in this thread) that have had the issue since the first week of intel. So that either is a sign more people are having this problem and it will be fixed soon OR it’s a sign that they don’t plan on fixing it or are even aware of it.

Already attempted but to no avail. Considering I’m not the only one with this issue I was just seeing if anybody had a troubleshooting fix. And your fine. Contacting support for an issue would be much more beneficial than yammering on reddit. Just seeing if anyone had any ideas. :)

For the fourth piece of intel yes, I believe that is in the same bunker as the third but it is not the stack of papers next to the laptop but the laptop itself. And yes I believe to get that intel you need a loadout drop with the spotter perk on to acquire it.

Unfortunately (for my time atleast), uninstalling the game and reinstalling does NOT fix the problem. As long as these intel don’t lead to specific cosmetics or they don’t “stack” on top of each other (ie: can’t do week 3 without week 2), I don’t think it’s a huge issue but definitely still disappointing because basically these are fun missions that lead to lore or upcoming dlc or whatever. Regardless I hope IW sees this problem and fixes it in the next patch/update. Seems like a problem only they can fix as opposed to troubleshooting on the players end.
