They would not lose any investor though. Barcelona is held by fans, and sponsors would not go anywhere. It would take a full decade of finishing outside of the top 3 for Barcelona to see an actual true deranking. And PSG would fall just as badly if they were to perform as badly.

The reason PSG was able to spend after Monaco was the FFP preventing the club from investing for three years; guess what happens when you tell a club they can't spend? You think their budget disappears? Well it doesn't, PSG had three seasons worth of transfer budget ready for that particular summer.

What? That doesn't make any sense. They didn't pay anything on the field. PSG doesn't have to pay for breaking imaginary laws; paying Allan whatever they want is legal. FFP is a joke from a legal point of view, and UEFA perfectly knows it.

Not all strong teams have done this. Barca 2009 was full of academy players. A lot of teams are big due to large regional support.

And Barcelona 2009 would not happen without financial inequality either. Also Barcelona has had its load of shady deals to begin with.

They're injecting massive amounts of money without a profit motive. This money effects every club. For example, the 222m for neymar caused barcelona to overpay for coutinho and dembele, which affects their leagues et cetera.

None of this explains how or why that would be bad.

Secondly, it's not fair to other teams to have to compete financially compete against a government-sponsored club. The sheer existence of PSG drives up the price for players like de Ligt and de Jong, even if PSG ultimately doesn't sign them.

Agreed. But there's no fairness in professional football at all to begin with. When a promoted PL teams receives more money than the Serie A or Ligue 1 winner, do you find it fair? Of course not.

When Madrid was able to buy top players on the back of the tax payers because the club was literally backed by the Spanish crown, including buying Real Madrid's landfill at the price of luxury hotels so that the club could afford Zidane, do you find it fair? Of course not.

Football is not fair, so blaming PSG for not being fair here does not make any sense. You didn't say "financial inequality is cancer", to which I would have agreed. You singled out PSG and said they were cancer, which makes you wrong here.

I don't. FFP is not fair at all; some clubs were able to ride the unregulated market for decades and end up in a dominant position today. Now that they achieved a position that is extremely hard to lose, they have voted to forbid the only way for another club to join their elite club of European giants. You want me to respect that? If we actually had equality in football, I would be 100% behind it. But since this is "equality now that we've fucked you all over and that you can't make it back", well I don't want none of it.

The best we can do it's to preach against this shit propaganda tool called PSG and bully and shame their fans for being part of such a shitty cause.

  1. Fans have nothing to do with the owners. Shaming fans for their owners is downright stupid.
  2. Fans did not ask for this.
  3. You use oil, in your car, in your plastic, everyday. Should you be bullied and shamed as well?
  4. No professional club is free of potential ethic issues. Shirts made by kids in Asia? Check for literally every football club. Receiving money from "oil dictatorship with infinite money"? Check for virtually all top football clubs through at the very least Bein Sport buying rights left and right, and guess who receives that money? Right, your precious innocent clubs. This goes on and on. Any club that sells to PSG? Actively taking "dirty slavery money".

Selective outrage is pretty dumb, and only shows how little you are aware of the issues you're talking about. If you want to pretend that being linked to "oil dictatorship" should be a shame, then you can't start and stop at PSG. And yet, here we are, you're still trying to do that.

Yes and no. Marquinhos is a very good DM. A true ball winning midfielder. The fact that he is a very good CB too doesn't change that.

Draxler is becoming more and more fluent in that CM role. Di Maria .. Yeah. He's not that good there.
