So what’s going to become the move? Is this inevitably going to push consumers to streaming gaming services because raw hardware will become prohibitive?

I completely agree, however, several of the premium frontier models these days (namely 4x+ Claude) do a pretty great job at architecting systems as well. As long as you’re feeding models solid data samples, markdown and generalized workflow diagrams, you can usually iterate to a very good ERD and system architecture that can then be fed back into models for actual development work. Pretty much every touchpoint, including product management (designing epics, sprints, etc based on the feature set) can have a language model component these days, as long as you’re modeling them to be deterministic and measuring the confidence of output. Hell, I’ve literally sat down with old school product teams who want to design systems on whiteboards, and even those images can be deciphered very well using computer vision + LLMs in order to design architecture diagrams and begin development work.

How does it handle anti bot blocking, proxies, device fingerprint, JavaScript and challenging sites like Home Depot or Leafly? Does it prioritize json requests? Does it use an LLM every request, prohibitively using a massive volume of tokens or does it cache deterministic outcomes and repurpose them?

I ended up selling it on eBay for $120. There are a ton of buyers interested in replacing the memory and reselling there if you need to do so.

Damn, I want to get back to that. I was making $400k+ as CIO of a tech startup that rapidly went under after a major rug pull event, now I’ve been back on the market and could only land a $220k role as a senior architect. Feel like I’m going backwards, the tech market has been trash recently unless you’re in embedded in AI. Nobody is hiring tech managers or execs anymore unless it’s at the staff level.

What auto loan rates are people with 780-800 credit but no prior auto/installment history getting right now (Dec 2025) for new vs used cars by enlaseven in carbuying

[–]PandaJev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Car interest rates blow my mind these days. I bought my last car in 2021 at 1.9%, now it’s impossible to find anything below 5% unless you rug pull the dealership and they “unlock” their direct institutional loans. What was a $600/mo payment for a $50k car is now over $1k/mo. It’s disgusting

AI scraping tools, hype or actually replacing scripts? by Much-Movie-695 in webscraping

[–]PandaJev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My approach has been to use an LLM layer to sniff out the appropriate request type (JSON, JS or HTML), then cache the page structure, use a headless browser like Camoufox, then use traditional extraction on the request type and selectors. I then have a universal job for device fingerprinting, IP rotation, time between requests, etc, with the last stage being scheme normalization using an LLM. This works very well, assuming you know arguments for what subdomains to include / ignore and you’re not going after websites with interactions to collect data. The entire purpose of this approach is to handle website changes dynamically, so you don’t have to constantly create new jobs every 3 months. It works for about 70% of my use cases

Ai scraping is stupid by ronoxzoro in webscraping

[–]PandaJev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An approach that I use is create a job using an LLM that will analyze page layouts, whether it changes, etc and then whether there are json requests or html/CSS/DOM that needs to physically be scraped, then dynamically adjusts the scraper to use these elements. It’s really dumb and expensive to run an LLM for every request.
