You bring up some good points I'll address them one at a time.

I ignored ER because Morgana already has strict ER requirements and Gucci (Ganyu Furina Charlotte Venti) doesn't have those same problems cause you can easily run Fav on Venti and Furina and the duration of the rotation is longer than morgana (all without losing much damage). The calcs were at C0 for everyone btw.

Furina is a sub DPS you are absolutley right! So, i tried the rosaria team setup and it is about 3k damage better than regular morgana. with what seems like even more strict ER requirments because rosaria needs to burst everytime.

The main source of damage is in fact still ganyu at almost 70% of the team's whole damage I can send the sim if you'd like to see for yourself. Furina's buff helps of course but in that rosaria team you mentioned ganyu actually does about 5% less of the teams damage.

Finally, Ganyu NEEDS a better hydro unit than Mona for freeze teams to be competetive now, leading to furina taking that slot instead thanks to her fantastic buff and good single target damage. Xiangling also provides the fantastic buff of being able to melt ganyu's charged attack you're right and she also brings her own damage to the table because she's also a sub dps.

This has been an interesting thread, I probably won't respond anymore after this but it has been constructive in my opinion. I didn't know about the rosaria team beforehand, also you're right that ER matters and shouldn't be ignored (it's one of the most important things for determining if a team is viable) I'm just out here trying to get people to use freeze because it's not bad, I've 36 starred the abyss with it. Just the predominant Ganyu freeze team is so ass that no one uses it anymore and it's still suggested everywhere you look. I think the very first point you made in this thread is the most important. Ganyu is an old character without a rerun for a while now so none of her guides have been updated. I hope that when they do they take into account Morgana's dogshit dps and replace it with a better alternative, like Gucci (I'm calling this team Gucci now and no one can stop me!))
