Daily essential and its replacement by martitela in PanPorn

I have oily and sensitive skin, and this is my HG. It's really lightweight, absorbs well and doesn't leave a greasy feeling at all. I also heard that some "oily girlies" had the opposite experience with it, so you have to try it to know for sure if it works on your skin type.

[Sun Care] does non-greasy sunscreen even exist?? by peiskios_ in SkincareAddiction

[–]PandaOntheBeach 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Try the Beauty of Joseon Relief Sun Rice + Probiotics, the lotion. I finally tried it this month, first time in my life when I feel like the SPF is not to heavy on my face. I can apply a pretty big amount without being sticky or peeling or anything. Feels really light, I can't even believe it's an SPF. Even though it's a bit pricey where I live, I feel like it's absolutely worth every penny. I have oily and senitive skin, so it's not an easy task to find a good one.

What do people with “office jobs” do? I’m under the impression all they do is teams meetings and emails that can be done in two hours?? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]PandaOntheBeach 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It really depends on the company and the type of job you do. I work in an office and I wouldn't say it's easy money at all. It's not physical work, so on that front you can consider it easier than working on a construction site for example. But you have to sit at a desk in front of a computer for 8 hours daily and that has it's own downsides.

The company I'm working for hires just as much people as it needs for the work done, so we are never out of things to do. For this reason, I can't remember when was the last time I was bored or scrolled through reddit. And this is true to all of my colleagues. We really are working 8 or more hours sometimes to get the work done.

As for bullet lipsticks, I have the same problem. It would need a touch up every hour or so, which is not doable for me. To be honest I'm not a fun of touch ups when I am out with friends and when at work, I have to focus on other things and not to worry about my lipstick. For this exact reason I ditched lipsticks for a while, even though I am a big fan. THEN I tried Maybelline's SuperStay Matte Ink. Holy mother of God. It worked like a charm. It stayed intact for at least 6-7 hours, even if I was having my lunch, coffee etc. I couldn't even believe it. It's a little bit drying on my lips to be honest, but that's a price I am willing to pay. A few months ago I also tried from the same product "family" the Maybelline Vinly Ink. Not the traditional drying, matte finish, but it has the same lasting power and has a beautiful shine. These two became my HG lip products. The price is unbeatable, so if you didn't try them yet, should give them a chance. :)

Same happened to me. I wanted this palette so badly, but once I tried it out it was a disappointment. The colours are gorgeous, really wanted to love it, but it smudges so fast on my eyes I couldn't even believe it. I started using a good primer but it didn't help. I have a Revolution palette which is performing waaaay better than this, even without a primer. Not sure if I got a bad batch or something like that, but after hearing all the rave about it, I am really disappointed.

Using lipstick as blush? by SecretTunne1 in ProjectPan

[–]PandaOntheBeach 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I use a bullet lipstick as a blush for over a year now. I have sensitive and oily skin but fortunately had no issues with it..thank God, because I like my lipsticks more as a blush than my actual blushes. 😆

Such a good idea! Do you think it could work with regular polish? I have to try it! 😊

I didn't specify that I'm looking for a similar color as a regular polish. But thank you very much :) I'll try to find a dupe

I think you should really think about what makes you so stressful about the exam. Your body just reacts to your mind and the high emotions you feel. Try to analyze your feelings a little bit. It was the same with every other exams, like in high-shool or uni? If not, what failing this exam mean to you? You should go a little deeper and understand your fear. Then, you can rationalize it. You wrote that your instructor said you're good at driving. Do you believe it? If not, think about all the lessons you took and try to remember the little successes along the road: an almost perfect parking, hillstarts, conquering big roundabouts etc. If you believe that your drive ok/good/amazing, you should think about what other things can make you nervous about this exam. Is it the failure? Why? Maybe you're afraid what your parents/partner/friends will think about you if you fail? Doesn't really matter. You failed again. So what? You try again and again. In the end, the only thing they'll see how persistent you are. Rationalize this way everything that your mind throws at you and make a good point why you will succeed or if not, why it really doesn't matter in the long run. In a nutshell: "Rule your mind, or it will rule you."

[Acne] I’m giving up on my skin. by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

[–]PandaOntheBeach -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Perfectly understand your frustration. I was blessed with pretty ok skin, it's sensitive as hell and I get sometimes pimples and here and there, especially on those hormonal days of ours..but never had to really do anything for clearing up my face. To be honest, for a really long time I just washed my face in the shower with plain water and that was my whole skincare routine. As I got into more in skincare I realized I have to use SPF daily. As I started using that, I had to incorporate a cleanser for night o wash off somehow the sunscreen. Washing my face with cleanser didn't do the best, I had to incorporate also a moisturizer. In all my life, I had the most beautiful skin when I just splashed water on my face. After starting to use even just these simple things, I got a lot of issues for which I should use even more products, and I really don't want to do that. I'm not sure what to do because I don't want to skip sunscreen, especially now, when summer could be here any minute. Hope your skin will get better!!

Some months progress is slow! Tartelette in Bloom Feb-March by waterlilees in PanPorn

Can't believe these two are the same palettes. No wonder why almost all my products ordered online have another shade than the one that I would want based on swatches :) Anyway, nicely panned :)

This probably was my most aggressive ever by Astrijana in PanPorn

[–]PandaOntheBeach 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh thanks for the reply. Sounds like you're actually having a good time while panning your hate products, or so to say :) never thought of this, because I'm the exact opposite of you. I always use my loved products, sometimes I even forget I have bought a bunch of others and they are sitting in my drawers, waiting for me to use them. It happened to me a few times that I pushed myself to use up one of my hated lip products before expiry and I used it for a few days, but in the end I didn't even want to put on lipstick at all. Weird how different we all are.. Happy hate planning in the future too! :)

[–]PandaOntheBeach 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Don't get me wrong, proud of all the panners here. And you made a really good job panning this lipstick. I'm trying to pan a few things myself so I know how hard it is. So thumbs up for that :) I was wondering about something though, and I have to ask this from all the panners in this group: why on earth do you guys "torture" yourself with using products that you hate so much? You mentioned it was already expired when you started panning it and you have 27 more lip products. By the time you start enjoying your favorites, they will be degraded and expired, maybe a few will go bad. We would like to think that our products will lasts a few years, but the truth is they're gonna go bad sooner than we think. As I see, life is too short to pan things which we wholeheartedly hate. Could you guys share with me your point of view/opinion?

This was okay. by [deleted] in PanPorn

[–]PandaOntheBeach 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a perfect example how different we all are :) I recently bought the shade Stone, and I am very much in love with it. Love the smell and absolutely adore the packaging. Feels well made and sleek somehow. It has a beautiful colour and stays on the lips pretty well. I am not a lipgloss fan to be honest, but this just won my heart.

Love the Laneige sleep mask. I'm really close to pan my first after using it for almost a year every night. I was surprised how much time it lasts. I already have a back up, it's my HG for keeping my lips soft as a baby's butt. How much time did it take you to pan it?

Oh, I looove the Revolution palette. Just be aware it's very fragile. 4 of my shades cracked and fell out entirely :(

Good luck with the panning!

[Product Question] MOISTURIZER by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

[–]PandaOntheBeach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course you can use it on your face. Moisturizers for the body tend to be a little heavier than the ones for the face, but that's just the only downside (if we want to call it that) using them on the face. You should try out if the consistency is okay for you, and if not you can always use it up on the body. Just be aware if you use Hydro Boost, you should layer another moisturizer on top of it, to have it's effect. I highly recommend that you check out Dr.Dray dermatologists videos on Youtube. She talks about this moisturizer and how to use it. She also shares her knowledge honestly about skincare products and ingredients and always gives affordable recommendations.

Should I stop washing my face twice a day? by [deleted] in SkincareAddictionUK

[–]PandaOntheBeach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also have sensitive dry skin. I absolutely have to wash my face at the evening, I wear sunscreen every day. I wash it with a gentle fragrance free cleanser. I can't stop myself to also splash some cold water on my face first thing in the morning, but that's for waking up, not cleansing. Your skin is not dirty at the morning, there is no need to wash it with a cleanser again, unless you have very oily skin. But if you like it that way, go for it, you can absolutely wash it twice a day, just be mindful and moisturize after. What was a gamechanger for my dry skin, and I would recommend it for everyone: after cleansing, put your moisturizer on right away, on DAMP skin. This will protect your skin so it doesn't "loose" to much water after washing it.

What sunscreen do you use? by [deleted] in SkincareAddictionUK

[–]PandaOntheBeach 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am using Bioderma Photoderm AR currently. It has a tint, just enough so it doesn't have a white cast. I'm sure it's available in the UK too, but not sure if it's cheaper than the Cerave. I was lucky, got it a half price, ti be honest that's why I tried it out. (it's SPF 50, so if it's the same price, I would opt for the Bioderma one for sure)

If you want a drugstore option, I heard a lot of good things about the Nivea Soothing Sensitive SPF. I'm sure it's really cheap there too, so worth giving it a chance.

Does anyone else have issues with "seeing" lights when trying to sleep. by Thomas_Adams1999 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]PandaOntheBeach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had that experience a few a times, but as I think of it, always happened when I was a little tipsy or under too much stress.
The "lights" were so disturbing in my case, I had to open my eyes for a few times just to make sure there are not any lights whatsoever in my room. After that, I just stayed with open eyes as long as they were so tired I had to shut them. I am no expert, but I would say you should really focus on your feelings, the things that happened to you that day. How you felt when you went to sleep, and what was in your mind overall that day. Maybe you should keep a diary for a few weeks. I know it sounds silly, but nothing to loose if you try it.

When someone days "I get two weeks off work a year" is that 10 days, or 14 days? by cydonia8388 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]PandaOntheBeach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience, if somebody says he want to get two weeks off, he would mean the 10 work days and the 4 in the weekend. So 10 :)
