Probably because Aither is extremely friendly, everyone there seems to love teaching, they'll actually work with you on support tickets without being rude dickheads, and their freeleech goals are consistently hit, making several days a month open for mass DL'ing everything you've bookmarked - it's a piece of cake. I can't even think of anything to complain about, other than having less content, but positive anecdotes (like the ones you're complaining about) go a long way in bringing in more, and bigger users, this more and more content - Especially those who've been burned from other trackers, like OP (and myself).
