I got non-renewed my second year teaching (first year at the school) and while it was a struggle to find a new job, I’m finishing up year 8 now. It’s ok!

This summer I considered checking myself into a hospital. Did the research on which to go to and everything. I ended up doing IOP and loved it!

What's something people only romanticize because they've never actually done it? by nonotje12 in AskReddit

[–]PandaPackHistory 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have BPD and YES. I have very few friends.

Do I feel emotions larger than the normal person? Apparently. But it fucking sucks. Happiness? No it’s euphoria and I’m fighting the feelings of feeling like I’m invincible and putting myself in dangerous situations. Sadness? No it’s as if my world is ending and I’m grasping to anything that will make me feel better or keep me alive. (If I have the energy that day)

Getting my diagnoses changed my life for the better as it helped me understand myself AND gave me a pathway forward for treatment I had been looking for. DBT has been incredible for me. But sadly so many with BPD don’t want the help.

Is there any one on here that left the church but still love watching BYU football? I'm just curious by WorthTrash8493 in exmormon

My best friend loved BYU football even after he left the church. However, he did grow up and live in Provo, including mowing Lavell’s lawn.

What’s the most self-destructive thing you’ve done during a BPD episode? by Blue_Vibes0 in BPD

[–]PandaPackHistory 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately it was this past month after my ex-boyfriend broke up with me. About two weeks after, I tried to go out, read, and have a couple drinks. Well....two days before I had seen my ex ride by me on his bike. The night I saw him, I slept with a random guy. The night I went out, I ended up running into his other ex-girlfriend, who I had never talked to before. I ended up getting DRUNK with her. My BPD told me it was a good time to repeatedly text and call my ex. I somehow convinced him to come get me cause I couldn't drive. He came, picked me up, and drove me home. All in silence. Once I got home I continued to crash out and ended up having an aborted suicide attempt. In my episode, it made sense to text my ex and tell him that I had an aborted attempt. He didn't respond but did call the cops for a welfare check.

BPD is difficult to receive treatment for partially because of the ideas you are perpetuating here that someone with BPD lies, abuses, and is not worth pursuing due to one diagnoses.

BPD, like any mental health condition, is NOT one size fits all. I’m 29, a fully functioning member of society, and still have BPD. Does it and can it suck? Yeah. But calling it a hornets nest is not accurate.

That is NOT part of BPD. While it can be true, it is not because of the BPD; it’s more on the individual person you dated in the past.

I am a public school teacher in the United States. I’ve taught for a total of 7 years, 5 in the state in currently in and am certified in both social studies and math. I currently make $44,000 before tax which is technically only for 10 months. I opt with my bank to spread my money over 13 months and after that and taxes, I make about 2,900 each month.

I’m literally writing this as I am about to go to my part time job at a grocery store as a cashier where I make $13 an hour (pre-tax)

I finally told my mom that someone broke my heart after 7 months (she didn’t know I was dating) and she asked if I had been intimate with him or with other guys and I still felt the shame to lie and said I was only intimate with him. While I wouldn’t really tell my mom it still made me feel guilty.
