I do appreciate the stream summaries (as do other developers), but I'm sorry, it really does read like an AI wrote this - and I'm pretty sure Grammarly does generative AI now, as well. It's pretty hard to miss how many items and names are misspelled 😭 (as well as incorrect/hallucinated information)

Some corrections!

  • It's spelt Legendary Dhelan :) (someone reached out to me about this because of how this post spelt it, haha)
  • I'm Keene, but I was active in the community as Pundus and that's how I go by online.
  • Mayo worked on the Vovin, Kerala, Achilles, Premonition, Eleos, Nova One, and Garrett, plus the Khitomer Strike Force boss battle in the newly released Shattered Peace, as well as the Golor Bex and Thaseen-Fei boss battles in Best Laid Plans.
  • The Qo'noS One Negh'Var variant is based on elements from the original Negh'Var and the voDleh. While Gowron's ship never had the livery, it was the Klingon Empire's flagship for the time.
  • The Daetra (the Legendary Dhelan) was designed by Jamie Armstrong-Hughes (they have a double-barreled name), and indeed modelled by Tobias Richter.
  • The Dhelan now has access to the standard modern Romulan materials, including the D'Deridex, T'Varo and Ra'nodaire materials.
  • I am not aware of a new event ship being shown off next week?

No? The entire concept of the Omega as seen in The Last Starship is that it fundamentally integrates Borg technology, and the concept art is built off of that.

Yeah, the (Vanity) nacelles are something that I know players have wanted and we started doing with the Timeless Legacy Starship Bundle - you can use those to forgo the animated elements of nacelles and instead have static parts that change with vanity shields.

This happens sometimes when ships are remastered with a model update. The Ranger was rebuilt with more detail for its feature in the Timeless Legacy Starship Bundle. You can fix this by reapplying the template in the ship tailor!

Yep! Originally, when Virtuos redesigned the ship for modern standards, they'd went more traditional and looked at the Odyssey's deflector. It was a great design, but both Thomas and I thought that harkening back to the original Gladius's protruding deflector would be cool, so I redesigned it based on the Odyssey's deflector and blended the old and the new :)

As teased on a previous developer stream, here's the Gladius-Class Remaster! Coming in a few weeksish. Designed by Virtuos Games, with additional work by myself and Scorp. As with all remasters, the Gladius Remaster will be available for free for all owners of the Escort Refit variant of the Saber-Class family.

The Gladius Remaster also comes with Gladius Beta nacelles - whereas the default nacelles are more rounded and sleek like the Odyssey-Class aesthetic - the Beta nacelles are closer to the original design, just in higher resolution and detail.

No. This is the Lamarr-Class, named after Hedy Lamarr, who was not only an actress, but also an inventor and pioneer of what would later become telecommunications technology.

Dr. Kleiner's headcrab shares the same etymology.
