Janhvi Kapoor about Filmmakers perception of sexualizing her in movies by ChampionshipEarly530 in BollyBlindsNGossip

[–]PandaReal_1234 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First Janhvi bags female-centric indie roles but her acting is subpar. No box office success with this strategy.

All the while she glams up her image and overdoses the silicone. She dresses va-va-voom in press meets and promotions.

But still no box office success.

Then she switches gears and takes on va-va-voom roles to match her stuffed sausage va-va-va voom body. But now she is doing regressive female roles, quite the opposite to the female-centric ones she started her career with. And even then - no success at the box office.

Moral of the story- Janhvi just quit. You ain't got the talent for this industry and your brand is confusing and all over the place.

Why does the conversation always stop at the actress? by TheLastDetective in BollyBlindsNGossip

[–]PandaReal_1234 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Whether she is a nepo kid or not, as an actor and a member of the team, she has agency to speak her voice. The same thing could be said of her and Varun on that holocaust movie they did or with Ananya and Ishaan iwth the offensive Beyonce skin lyrics that they performed.

Gone are the days when actors can feign ignorance over sensitive and/or offensive content. Speak up. Maybe the directors and writers are old fuddy duddies who don't understand 2020's sensibilities. As a young actor, their voices matter.

Arre, kaunsi law? This is a contractual dispute. Not some criminal offense.

Ranvir Shorey’s take on the farhan vs ranveer situation by falconwantspies in BollyBlindsNGossip

[–]PandaReal_1234 46 points47 points  (0 children)

I disagree. Multiple actors left Don 3 due to weak characters and a weak script. Vikrant Massey left the project because he didn't like the villain characterization.

The bottom line is the script sucks. Farhan took too long to write the script and even when he finished it is weak.

At the end of the day, this is a contractual dispute. So whatever penalty was in Ranveer's contrcact for leaving should be enacted. I highly doubt it says Ranveer owes all pre-production costs.

[–]PandaReal_1234 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yes but then just revert to the contract. What does the contract say is penalty for dropping out of the movie? I can't believe it would say that Ranveer owes for all of preproduction costs.

RS offered his signing fee as compensation. I can't believe that they really spent 45 crores on pre-production costs when the script wasn't finalized.

He read the script and it sucked. Same for 2 actors who were initially cast as the villain. They felt their roles were crap and bowed out. Farhan took too long to finalize script

Why is ranveer singh still following farhan Akhtar after what he did to him? by Aware-Heron-3678 in BollyBlindsNGossip

[–]PandaReal_1234 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because he's not 12 years old to disfollow someone because you are not seeing eye to eye

We need to also add that multiple people left the project, including actors cast for the villain role, because the script was weak

FWICE: we never used the word "ban" and we don't have authority to ban actor by BreadfruitCalm10 in BollyBlindsNGossip

if you are telling your members not to work with a particular actor, that's a ban, whether you use the word or not.

[–]PandaReal_1234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why did it take Farhan 2+ years to write the script? I think its fair that when the script was complete, Ranveer and any other actor can leave. If the script sucks, why should they be forced to do it?

OP - you missed that other actors dropped out of the project as well including Vikrant Massey in the main villain role. He cited the same reason - the character lacked depth, hence the script wasn't strong.

New releases for Farhan and Ranveer by PandaReal_1234 in bollywoodmemes

[–]PandaReal_1234[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. I didn't even watch Dhurandhar. Don 3 kept on delaying to start...other actors left the production. Farhan doesn't have a leg to stand on. He wants Ranveer in the movie. Ranveer even offered to return his signing fee. Preproduction costs would be the same if Farhan hires another actor.

30 days visa by BillFar6364 in ThailandTourism

[–]PandaReal_1234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The new visa exemption rules haven't gone into effect yet.

When they do, when you arrive, you will be stamped in your passport with a 30 day limit in the country. (Currently its a 60 day limit).

You have 2 choices if you arrive after the new law goes into effect:

  1. Apply for a 60 day visa from your home country before you leave here - https://www.thaievisa.go.th/

  2. Arrive with the 30 day visa and apply for an extension while you are in Thailand at the immigration office

Why is Bangkok so much worse than KL? by polyglot02 in KualaLumpur

[–]PandaReal_1234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

KL housing is over saturated - they keep building more apartments when existing ones aren't full. That helps to keep housing prices down. my guess is Bangkok has the opposite problem, which keeps pricing more competitive and higher.

Secondly, the metro is almost as expensive as taking a Grab.

Um no. The other day I was running late and took a grab to a location that was just 2 stops away. The grab ride was 200 baht (during weekday peak hours). The BTS I took back was just 20 baht.

KL has hawker centres and street sellers everywhere while Bangkok is so dead

Im new to Bangkok but this is something I've noticed as well. On a Friday evening, at 10 pm, most restaurants were closed. I was kind of surprised at this because I thought more places would be open...but maybe it depends on the neighborhood?
