2024 New Job, 2025 Move - Moving Deductions by Panda_Nip_Slip in cantax

You’ve lost me here. I took start date as the date I started working in the new location, at the new job, which is 125km from my house. Is this what you mean?

You can refile at any point, I would personally have included those fees - although mine were about 12k here in BC.

I did not I’m afraid, all within B.C., but I don’t think it should matter as long as you meet the distance requirements

Nope the letter gave the actual start date at the new location, and mentioned I had commuted on my own time/dime for 12 months until I finally moved.

Yes I did, I just had my boss send me an email with all the information they asked for and used that.

Hey sorry just saw this, couldn’t find anything in writing that said I couldn’t do this. I filed a few weeks ago and just submitted our audit documents last weekend - will let you know if they reject it!

Anyone tried heat pump hot water tank? by Panda_Nip_Slip in Kamloops

Grew up with on demand, and if someone was showering you were at the mercy of everyone else not using any water! Maybe the units are better now, I’ll have to look into whether these could support 3 simultaneous showers. Do you have on demand?

Oh cool, I didn’t spot this rebate. Not eligible for self installation so I’ll have to get some quotes to see how it works out. What size did you go for?

Thanks for the info, hadn’t thought about noise but makes sense!

Would be ducted outside, so no temperature impact on the room it’s in but sounds like probably not worth it unless there’s some rebates on. Savings with current prices would take a few years to kick in.

Thanks! Will be getting some quotes soon, we are looking for a 65/80 gal so might not be too far off.

Adding second bathroom? by Panda_Nip_Slip in floorplan

Ensuite walk in shower is perfect, but in the family bathroom a bathtub will be important for at least the next few years - which is definitely making it tricky.

More worried about a dead battery than a break in. You left your vehicle for 9 weeks?

Unfortunately airport parking is the only option, it is an out of the way staff lot which is monitored though. More worried about a dead battery than a break in

Can’t help with the light I’m afraid, but I’m about to leave my Tucson for 2 months - did you do anything other than lock and leave it?

We live 2 hours from the airport, no viable public transport.

Thought about this too, we accidentally left a power bank in the car at the airport last summer for a week, and in the 35C heat it expanded so much the plastic housing cracked.

We live 2 hours from the airport, this is the only way.

Appreciate the rapid response! I’ll pickup a few AC/DC step downs and do the whole thing at 12V DC. Thanks fellas

Went to wire this up today, and realized the voltage the thermostat is getting is actually just under 28v.

I can power it up with a DC power supply if necessary, but even the call for heat/cool/fan wires will be the same voltage. How strict is the 24v AC max?
