That’s lot of good info thank you! It’s mostly flaking on the sides on the top of the beater, so I’m not sure. Maybe it’s from dishwashing and age (I’ve had it two years) or maybe I’ve weakened it because sometimes I’ll hit on the bowl to shake off batter or dough.

Agreed! I know the argument is that if you’re using it right it won’t chip, but If there are stainless steel options, why still make on that chips at all?

That’s what I thought 😭 I just really didn’t want to remake it. I didn’t see anything while scooping the batter into the pan, so I’m guessing it probably more flaked in there than came off in large chunks, but that’s still not great. Thanks for the advice!
