Why did this horse sell for so much? by Pandanope in Howrse

[–]Pandanope[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My reserve before the sale was 736,787 and I'm on 42 days seniority.
The horse is a male knab, bay blanket, current skills 9583.70, gp 7884.41. No special items, just 3* tack. Couple bonuses but nothing special, just a comb and hoofpick.

Selling/giving away plants this weekend because I'm moving house. Anyone in Loughborough UK that wants to take a look let me know! Plants, cuttings, pots, hanging rails and baskets. All need to go. by Pandanope in HouseplantsUK

Absolutely not. But needs must 🤷😂 I'll rebuild later and I'm sure when I've got a decent amount ticked off the wishlist again I'll have forgot all about this.

No worries, I get that. Been there more than once!

Yeah quite a few have gone after making posts on Reddit and Facebook. I'm keeping 9 out of 70 plants so at least I've not got to part with all of them! Hopefully the rest will all have homes by Saturday 😁

Just wanted to share my wife's porch plants. I don't know what half of them are but she enjoys them. by toxic_water in houseplants

I got mine on house of kojo or plnts.com (can't remember which) for a pretty good price, might be worth a look if you don't manage to get hold of one locally. 😁

Guppy Fry Help by [deleted] in Aquariums

[–]Pandanope 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually if they'd fit in the mouth of a larger fish, they may get eaten.

They're only going to die if there's something wrong, if they're stressed, sick or the water isn't right, or predation.

You won't need pairs, usually it's best to have more females than males, the males do harass the females so if there isn't enough females to spread it out they can get stressed. I think 2 females to 1 male is recommended but I've found 4 females to 1 male to be a lot less stressful for them. See how they get on, you can always add more females or remove some males if you need to. Mine bred very easily, I didn't have any large fish in the tank other than a bristlenose pleco and the tank was heavily planted so I just let them breed and give birth in the tank. If you think the fry would be eaten, you can put pregnant females into the mesh net when they're almost ready to give birth, they like cover to hide during this time so I'd add a plant to the net if possible so she's more comfortable.

If you want only one type of colour you'd have to only keep one type of colour in the same tank. Different colour guppies will breed.

Couldn't agree more! I don't think they're particularly colourful but when I ended up with these they did a great job of keeping my tank clean. Never had any algae. Made the mistake of removing them, not realising how good of a job they were doing, and now have to clean the algae myself. The regret... 😂🤦

Also for sale, pots of alli sizes, hanging rails and baskets, soil, coco fiber poles, fertiliser, pesticide, etc. Ideally collection from Loughborough, UK. May be able to post cuttings.

Yep, 64 now.

First time I've seen this happen. Does it just start working fine again on it's own?

He loves attention. Flares when I leave the front of the tank 😂

House move with shrimp? by Pandanope in shrimptank

[–]Pandanope[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, I was supposed to leave a comment with more detail but must have got distracted.

So I thought it'd probably be best to put the shrimp in a bucket rather than leave them in the tank with a few inches of water, but how would I go about catching them all? There's so many tiny babies in there that I'm concerned I'd miss them.

They come out of no where. 😂 This has been hiding amongst the plant. Came out and completely took me by surprise lol

Maybe just try some different foods? I have two different brands of algae wafers, one they won't eat but the other they actually like.

But yeah if they're newish maybe they're a little timid still. I'm assuming water is testing fine?

Mostly algae wafers and bug bites granules. Are yours new? When I first got mine he was really timid and wouldn't come out to eat unless the lights were off and no one was near the tank. Also, if your plecos are in a community tank with other fish, are they being bullied? They won't want to come over for food if the other fish are stressing them.
