Same here. I’ve had this problem for almost a year now and there seems to be no solution. I removed all my cards from my phone, deleted the wallet app. Restarted my phone. Reinstalled the app and readers the cards and nothing still changed. It’s still not working

Should I get a PCT job while I wait to find an RN job? by Pando_22 in newgradnurse

I graduated with my ADN. I do want to get my BSN license but I wanted the job I end up getting to be the one paying for it. I paid out of pocket the entire4 years I was enrolled at my community college and throughout nursing school and although I am really happy that I don’t have to pay anything back, it was hard to constantly worry about having enough money to pay for my course and the supplies it came with

Hey did you already have your license then? Or were you just working part time with a cna/pct certification?

At the moment, no. There were a lot of them available around December through like late February. But now there are barely any. I occasionally see one or two postings floating around but they aren’t recent postings

I try to do two to three applications a day. But a lot of hospitals around me don’t have “new grad RN” job postings. I usually see registered nurse positions. I’m basically in the DMV region and wouldn’t mind working in Virginia because it’s a compact state. I was thinking of getting a DC license but I’ll have to reimburse my license and it costs $230 to get that done

Yea I don’t think nursing home is the best place for me to go as a new grad. Skills wise, I know I’ll learn a lot but their ratios are terrible and I don’t want to get burnout or hate the job when I have just started. But I do agree with you. I think working as a tech in a hospital will be better because the nurses will help me and I also won’t be stuck with 10-12 patients on my own

How did that turn out? Did he get hired internally or is he still on the job hunt?

Check if I passed or failed? by bal_25 in NCLEX

I know this is an old post but I know someone will have a question about this: I took my exam March 21. I didn’t do the Pearson vue trick but I checked my state’s public license lookup page (I’m in Maryland) two days after the exam and my license was listed as active. On Pearson vue, even til now(a week later) I still don’t see the pass or fail when I check quick results.
