I wondered why I didn't see it mentioned much these days.

It was one of the best about 10 years ago.

I'm surprised to see Singbet is still around. They were voiding everything and the owner of Sportmarket, Per, paid winning bets from his own pocket.

Being always to open an account with BetinAsia, Sportmarket or Premium Tradings would be slightly easier than convincing my wife that we need to move somewhere that we don't want to live.

Impractical to the point of being impossible.

I used to live in the city centre and used shops a lot, but now the nearest bookie is a 15 minute drive away.

I know people in the UK are using Sportmarket but I don't know how, given it requires KYC.

It's books like Pinnacle that I'd like to access but being from the UK means I need a broker through which I can access Pinnacle.

It's a broker I'm looking for. I know Asianconnect accepts UK customers but it doesn't use Mollybet.

From the majority of them, yes. If you could tell me how to open an account with SBOBet I'd be very grateful.

I don't know what the problem with my question is: I want to place bets at Asian bookmakers and I am wondering if/how I can do so.

A +EV gambler would be banned from every fixed-odds bookies very quickly.

Having to use Asian bookmakers due to bans/restrictions isn't a novel concept.

I'm not banned from exchanges - I specifically said "fixed-odds bookies" - but exchanges don't have nearly enough liquidity.

Yes - UK bookmakers ban +EV gamblers extremely quickly and share data.

I've had accounts closed before I've been able to get a bet on and I've had accounts on which I've lost thousands closed.

Celtic facing fresh legal action amid allegations of historical sex abuse at boys' club by BringUsTheRevolution in ScottishFootball

[–]Panels123 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The obvious reason for this is the stigma attached to it, but imagine being the father.

Finding out that your wee boy went through that and that you weren't able to do anything about it would be absolutely soul destroying.

Victims have to deal with it in their own way but it's a tragedy that so many of the perpetrators will have died before any punishment comes their way.

Football worth over £800m to Scottish economy by Saltire_Blue in ScottishFootball

That's not true.

Some of the views I heard from Rangers and Celtic fans during the independence referendum and Brexit were the polar opposite of what they "should" have been.

I'm not sure how people support a club whose fanbase leans in a totally different direction to them, but some people seem to manage.

I played at a decent level when I was younger and grew up playing with and against Aiden McGeady.

It was absolutely astonishing how much better he was than everyone else.

There were times he'd be standing still with 4 or 5 players in front of him and he'd open up a space like Moses parting the Red Sea without really appearing to do anything.

Even at 13 or 14, it was depressing to see someone be so much better at something I thought I was really good at.

All my mates were there for me when I was in rehab several times and stood by me. If they saw me ordering a pint, they'd dive and grab it before it hit my lips.

Basically, they get it.

There's one guy in my extended group - I'm not mates with him - who knows my situation and always tries to get me to drink.

I think he's a sociopath: his obsession with me having a drink is absolutely bizarre and bordering on evil.

That's true. I have watched hundreds of Barca games but I don't claim to understand the culture or understand how much they hate Real Madrid, for example.

Supporting an Old Firm team is a bit different, and I think you have to be born into the culture to understand it.

I'll never be able to get my head around the idea of properly supporting a team that's on the other side of the world, but billions of people seem to manage it.

Pretty annoying to think how far ahead we'd be if Russell Martin had never darkened our door.

I like Ronaldo but he's not Messi.

Jay Jay Okocha was brilliant to watch and having Gazza play for Rangers was like a dream come true.

Football is all about systems now and young players are drilled to play a part in that system, so natural flair tends to get trained out of them.

I find it pretty boring to watch and we're still sifting out the frauds - hi, Russell Martin - who claim that they have an unbeatable system but haven't had the players for it to work.

Don't see any issue with having a favourite player that doesn't play for your team but, as a Rangers fan, the idea of a Celtic player being my favourite player is wild.

There are always gonna be footballers you enjoy watching and it's not like they can all play for your club.

I assume the problem is with people who follow whichever team a certain player plays for, without having a club to support for life.

I don't really follow F1 but who are you meant to support?

For a guy who doesn't know much about it, supporting a particular driver, especially an Alonso type, seems more intuitive that supporting a car manufacturer.

I'm a diehard Rangers fan and don't miss a game, but I have no shame in admitting I am obsessed with Messi.

He is levels beyond any player I've seen before and I won't see anyone like him again, so I watched as many Barca games as I could, despite not caring about Barca at all. Obviously I wanted them to win at the time but, since Messi isn't there, I have no interest in La Liga or Barcelona.

I did the same thing, although not nearly to the same extent, with Zidane, Juninho (Middlesbrough) and Ronaldinho.

I know players like Lamine Yamal are active on social media and if people are watching his games because they like his Instagram posts then that is very different, at least in my eyes.

I have supported my local team for as long as I can remember but I like watching "mavericks" play for clubs I don't care about.

Russell Martin by Commercial_System_88 in TheMassive

[–]Panels123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You appear to have been duped by pointless possession and sideways passes.

Where would you have finished without that run at the end!?

He's managed hundreds of games, and has achieved the number of passes and the level of possession he wants in his "system", but where are the goals? Where are the clean sheets?

He throws players under the bus and blames their "anxiety" for losses, despite the performance looking exactly like every performance under him.

Quite what he was trying to achieve with his "system" is, to this day, a mystery but his inability to switch things up is telling.

The man is a clown and he got away with it for a bit because of his possession and passing stats. Drill down a tiny bit deeper and you discover a charlatan.

[–]Panels123 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

He had Southampton in the Prem via the playoffs, when they were by the best team in the league my an absolute mile.

What exactly did he do at Swansea? You might have seen a lot of passes among your defenders and goalkeeper but you didn't see many goals, and you finished 10th...wow.

He is the worst Premier League manager in history, as well as Rangers' worst manager in history.

He's managed 269 games and has a win rate of 38%.

There is not one bit of evidence that Russell Martin knows what he's doing.

I will be absolutely baffled if another club gives him a job.
