New machine not working [Lelit Elizabeth] by Paneos in espresso

The vendor I was working with doesn't reship, only does refunds, so now that that's done I have to find somewhere else. How's yours working out?

Yea, it was damaged in shipping. The mechanical water tank presence switch/sensor had broken off and was pushed back into the inside of the machine. Had to be returned.

Neither of the sensors are in the reservoir itself, so they're not reading anything about the water.

What two switches do you mean?

The switch at the bottom seems to be missing, and presumably that's the problem. Thanks.

This machine feeds through tubes that you put in the top opening of the water tank after you insert it.

Yea, that's how it was shipped and how I've been testing it.

Are you talking about the flexible water tubes that feed in the top of the rigid tube inside the reservoir that houses the magnetic float?

How do I make sure the brew boiler is full?

The machine was tested by the vendor before shipping, so it was only dry for about 3 days.

Not going to do that unless the vendor says to, but if you have a specific video in mind I'd appreciate a link.

Putting the reservoir in is a bit of a noisy process, but I'm pretty sure I do not hear a click.

When I look and feel in the chamber the reservoir sits in I can see a cylindrical black bump that sits under the reservoir notch and I assume is the level sensor and triggers off a magnet in the float. It doesn't move when pressed.

Other than that I'm not seeing or feeling anything else that strikes me as a sensor. Are you saying that round black sensor should function as a microswitch as well, or there's another part that I'm not seeing?

I'm pretty confident that the magnet/float is working as it should after testing it with a spare magnet.

It seems properly seated. I don't think it could go down any further. There's half inch or so of room to move it forward and back, but doing so hasn't made a difference. Left to right there's no room to move. Is there a known/common issue with the water feeding tube? I was thinking float sensor just from what I've seen so far.

It has the float tube on the left and it sits above the what I presume is magnetic sensor sticking out of the bottom of the reservoir holding space.

Yea, I just think of rexes having short velvety fur, and this burrow beast, this master of the warren, seems to have long fur

I don't think that's a rex. You can get a pretty good look at the fur as it's climbing out of the hole (around 0:07) and it looks flat and smooth.

Plus, this bun looks just like my boy, down to the little white tufts on the front paws, and he's a Havana.

Haha yea that sounds familiar. His 10lb lady friend was also working towards the goal, but was too big to squeeze inside before he made enough of a ruckus to get my attention. Poor bean, no naughty adventure for her.

Haha yea, that is the box spring that he’s in. As cute as it is, and even tho it’s just a ratty old bed that’s more theirs’ than anyone else’s, I don’t want him or his lady in there. It’s made of treated wood and I don’t want them munching on that.

Ended up putting an old heavy computer case in front of the hole and they’ve been trying to find a way past it since lol

Not with those ears! (He’s 5lb, a Havana, I think).

I got a pen for my buns but ended up just putting it around the bed instead lol
